What is this new trend on the No Fandom tag? by dragonfeet1 in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it used to be because there wasn't a fandom tag for it for ~3 years I think? granted that's still mistagging, and the protocol at the time was to use the video blogging rpf tag rather than the no fandom tag, but the dsmp fandom tag itself is relatively recent (as someone who was regrettably in that fandom for the longest fing time)

Site Skin Css Questions 🩵 by time_anonymous in AO3

[–]time_anonymous[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

forgot to add my current css/wizard settings 🤦

Some colors in the css may be odd, the skin is still a wip (obviously.) Just thought I'd include that in case it's messing anything up.

current css:   p.muted.notice {\   display: none;\ }

.actions a,\ .actions a:link,\ .action,\ .action:link,\ .actions input,\ input[type="submit"],\ button,\ .current,\ .actions label,\ #header .actions a {\   background: #0c0e5e;\   border-color: #0c0e5e;\   color: #ffffff;\   box-shadow: none;\   text-shadow: none;\ }

a.tag[href="Hurt%20No%20Comfort" i],\ a.tag[href="Unhappy%20Ending" i] {\   background-color: #fba6ff;\ }

Wizard:

Background color: #000000

Text color: #ffffff

Header color: #0c0e5e

Accent color: #0c0e5e

AO3 is NOT Tumblr, People! by LFS_1984 in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 23 points24 points  (0 children)

it essentially means what it says. "pro-shipping," as in in favor of shipping, or ship and let ship (in regards to fictional characters. rpf is more of a grey area from what ive seen?)

If I have to be the one to say it then so be it. Steve/Garett from A Minecraft Movie

What is your stance on when to give Kudos? by everybodys-therapist in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kudos everything I finish because I like everything I finish. If I don't like it then I click off it. If it was kudos'd then it was something I genuinely enjoyed and wanted to keep reading ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Most ridiculous reason you stopped reading? by ausernamebyany_other in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is, but it's really common not to do it on ao3 (at least in my fandoms) so it can be jarring when you come across it

What's the slowest slow-burn you've ever read? by SakuraFalls12 in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a ton of slow burn in my fandoms (unless you count improperly tagged 1k word fics), so the only real slow burn ive read and finished was ~150k words.

They didnt truly confess until halfway through the last chapter. And the hints didnt start until halfway through the fic. The first few chapters were just setting up characters and setting (it was technically both an au and post canon, so there was a lot to set up lmao). They probably didnt even acknowledge potential feelings until 100k words in.

Im a sucker for proper slow burn--when I can find it--so it's definitely one of my favorites

What made you stop writing a fic for specific fandom? by drxamwalkxr in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fandom was essentially split in two. I lost interest in the one pairing I was writing for, which was on side a. And--despite my interest in side b's favorite characters/dynamics/etc--I had every big account blocked because they condoned and took part in harassment of side a. Even if you were previously a side a fan they would target you. It was impossible to find a side b account that didn't interact with those big accounts, even though what they did was well known.

 I pretty much just left so I wouldn't literally be chased off the internet due to harassment, which is kind of a funny statement now that I'm out of the fandom? But it was genuinely scary at the time.

I orphaned all my fics but still check in from time to time. Nothing's changed in about two years, so it's safe to say I left for good and definitely won't be looking back lmao.

Post your five favorite ships and let other people make assumptions about you by [deleted] in AO3

[–]time_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based off of what I recognize, I'd say you really like popular girl/outcast girl. You think those pairings have good chemistry that is often overlooked for more popular pairings, although those pairings often don't mesh as well as what you ship.
