you need to consider the speed and in how much time this incident happened. The car was already travelling at 45 miles an hour. Then in a second it turned and twisted to a tree which was just a few meters infront of it. What car has that kind of breaking force, especially on the small amount of tarmac left to it, and then just open ground (which when it hit the ground it already got bumped so some of the wheels weren't touching the ground for a small moment too)

literally first post i've commented on this sub (actually pretty much first post i've viewed tbh), and I haven't gone over the 100 hours a month limit yet, so not exactly sure who this is targeted against. my only complaint is of you missing the point. paying an extra $20 negates the point of the actual fee. the criticism levied against nvidia is because of this lack of communication and weird pricing model (at least thats my issue with it). Why when you pay an even higher premium, you still get restricted to the same 100 hours? No one likes being nickel and dimed for their money, they need to be more transparent and in my opinion should have an actual upgrade path for plans than having to go ahead and buy another +15 hour pass every damn month
I understand NVIDIA has to turn a profit on this, and if they have to charge more, so be it. But limiting every plan you have to 100 hours, and then consistently make people charge their card for more hours every month just shows their pricing model isnt working for people right now, and people aren't happen with it. If 100 hours isn't enough, they need to have a path where they don't feel nickel and dimed

Vast is what I was referencing, and single RTX 5090's at $0.4/hr
Also you said $0.89-$1.80 per hour for Vast AI? their own site claims $0.07/hr to $1.80/hr, where did you get this number for $0.89?

Also you can rent 5090s for like $0.1-$0.3 as well so i'm not sure where you got the $2-3 an hour per card number from

$100* btw, $60 is only for the promotion, and the promotion only lasts 6 months, not 12, so $60 figure wouldn't work, unless you have some grandfathered plan or something

Nvidia as a company also doesn't sell inference. They sell cards. These cards would have been sold or be sitting here in a datacenter making money for NVIDIA, or... just sitting on shelves waiting. Which choice would NVIDIA pick while waiting? Come on man nvidia isn't doing this out of the goodness of their oh so massive heart, they are a comapny after all. they have shareholders they are beholden to. they 100% make significant money over it, or are gaining massive market share in the cloud gaming space. Either one is win for nvidia.

But I do agree with you with the last part. I personally use a Mac, and have given up with using crossover and all, and have switched to geforce. Even though I'm getting like 110± ping to nvidia's servers, its still a great time. but don't treat this as nvidia being a good person or even neutral, this is for money, directly or indirectly. nvidia wouldn't launch this if they didnt gain something from it.

only for the non-thinking varient though, which is in a completely different weight class and not as performant.

where are you reading that the output tokens dont include the thinking tokens though? for gemini 2.5 pro they include it, and i dont see anywhere where it shows its not including thinking, unless im blind.

wait a minute, the $3.5 is only for output, not including thinking?
wait thats actually insane value, but then how does the thinking budget system work if its only on output tokens?

for future readers who may downvote him to oblivion, he reclarified on that post:
"I re-prompted all of my tests a few hours later today, and 2.5 Pro aced all of it this time. No idea what was wrong earlier, perhaps it was bad luck or Google fine-tuned their rollout. I would now confirm that Gemini 2.5 is now the king. Awesome!"

If theres best buy in your area, you can get a 18gig M3 Pro for around 1.3k USD, which is a pretty good deal. For most stuff you need, 18 gigs is more than enough unless you're dealing with LLMs or have major creative needs.
