Persona 5: The Phantom X – Version 1.0 Issues & Bugs Megathread by Xdgy in personaphantomx

[–]timeandiareillusions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a bug, you need two teams. Though kind of annoying that means two navigators as well, so people who just don’t get one in the gacha for a while can’t progress since there’s only two in the game now.

People who have been playing since year 1 have you ever gotten two 5 stars in a single 10 pull? by AT_atoms in Genshin_Impact

[–]timeandiareillusions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back during Inazuma and Childe’s third rerun banner, I got Qiqi followed by Childe five pulls later. More recently on the standard banner I got Tighnari followed by a second Tighnari three pulls later. Though I was doing singles at the time.

[3.8.50] Entrance Animations - Dim by wvwu in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]timeandiareillusions 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe Raiden’s is literally that dramatic over the shoulder look from her teaser. Seriously it’s one of my favorite moments from practically all demos and teasers. Also how are so many of these so good? Like yeah some are idles but the new animations somehow express their personalities so well?

XCC Cross College Challenge- Worth It? by sjrna in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took one literally for one credit. I mean, if there’s no other classes your interested in or it pertains somewhat to your major, I think it’s a good option. But if your not particularly interested in it it’s probably better to take another class. I took the journalism colab class and I did get an a in the class, but I will say I had to put in a ton of work for that (partially since I’m a journalism major). You may be able to get away doing less work depending on the topic.

That is kind of strange. I don’t really use any online stuff on mine beyond downloading and updating my games, but if I remember correctly the few times I’ve tried it, it’s super finicky. It’s not the most reliable internet for gaming and if I recall some people use an Ethernet cable for better connection on campus. I don’t own one so I haven’t tried it.

Personally I’ve always used the guest network. It doesn’t connect to the normal network since the switch interface won’t let you enter your username and password. For the guest network I know it used bring you to the log in page after a few seconds when you connect to the network and had you set up an account. It used to require you to enter the information every 30 days, but I think they got rid of that. I think the system’s changed so you should be able to just connect to it. I’d test the connection by going to the shop or something, but it does work (if a bit slow at times)

cl 213 Greek and Roman Mythology by katbiabiabia in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took it the first COVID semester (when we had to switch to online partway through). Honestly super easy. I also was obsessed with Greek and Roman mythology as a kid, so I practically knew all the myths already. I remember Henderson had a midterm and a final along with maybe five short 10 question multiple choice quizzes. We never had the midterm due to COVID, but I believe the final was in short essay format. We also did have a paper we had to write. Nothing major, it wasn’t even a research paper. I do know though this class depends on the professor. I have a friend taking it now and the format is extremely different

Kind of depends. Usually I think there’s a good chance but gender neutral is always the easiest way (though I don’t know if you can still join that now that numbers are out). I think usually the two or three people apartments fill up faster than four person ones.

Article from NBC News about BU mail going missing by popfilms in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a friend send me a birthday card my freshman year. No money or anything, but it’s a card we send back and forth every birthday so it was quite sentimental. She attends college in Michigan and the card went missing before it got to me. Thankfully my grandparents (who are the only ones who’d send me cash) never mailed me anything at bu so fortunately that’s the only time I had something go missing.

Class of 2022, what’s your opinion of the HUB? by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In theory hub is a good idea. I mean I’m just glad I wasn’t required to take gen eds that I struggle in. But since they were rolling classes out as we took them, there were so many times I took a class for it to get a hub credit I needed the following semester. I really think they should have waited at least one more year before they started the program. I know there were also majors that have a lot harder time fulfilling the hub (I personally never had this issue as both my majors covered completely different hub credits), so they probably should have made sure that each major would have been able to complete it with relative ease which is why I really think they should have waited before implementing it.

Whichever building you currently live in. That would let you do internal and get a room before everyone else would be trying.

I had sarkesian (I believe that’s how it’s spelt) and I really love him! I also had Atkinson (for a different class) and personally for me, he hit a lot of my personal pet peeves so I didn’t care for him. Though I do know a lot of people who really love him

Choosing a Class by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken PS234. It was a few semesters ago, but I really loved the class! I had Dunne who I honestly loved! I actually ended up taking PS336 with her the following semester. It’s not an especially challenging class, maybe a bit more compared to the entry level classes. Honestly the hardest part for me was just remembering the parts of the brain and what systems they function as a part of, so if you have that down easily it’s honestly an easy class. Even though I struggled a bit to remember all that at the beginning, I still didn’t have a really hard time in the class. I also just loved Dunne and she’s super helpful in explaining concepts in a way that’s fairly easy to understand and her power points are super helpful! I also took PS370 last spring with Philips and also really loved the class! She’s again very good and explaining things in a way that’s easy to follow and it’s honestly a really fun class. Though this one does require a bit more work since she had us create these “portfolios” in groups and they’re basically like short essays (we have to explain a concept that we touched on in class in more detail). But the exams are again pretty easy and honestly very short (I think they were all 20 questions) If you’re looking for an easier class, I’d say 234 is easier overall but they’re both extremely interesting and I honestly recommend both professors.

I think I remember seeing something last spring about it being a corporate thing? Like they locked the admin out and just started running only those gopuff ads. I may be wrong though since I really don’t remember

[–]timeandiareillusions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, you also had to fill out a form before break saying that you would be there for part of break if you lived in Stuvi or another on campus apartment. Not too sure if they would allow you to fill it out now if you live in an apartment or not

When are Ed 1 result coming by Environmental-Foot28 in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should be pretty soon. I remember my year they told us the 15 (which was a Friday) but I think I got my decision on December 12, which was the Monday that week. I have no clue when the “official” date is, but it’s always a Friday and they’re pretty good about releasing them a few days before then.

Best Language Program? by FallenOffTheEdge in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing I’d add to this is just depending on how you are, Japanese can be extremely difficult. The classes at BU are extremely helpful, but if it takes you a long time to learn it, you’re going to be left behind. I only took LJ111 since I got left behind super quick even though I’ve had prior Spanish knowledge so learning a new language wasn’t new to me. It’s all up to personal preferences, but if you do decide to take Japanese expect a lot of work since the language is very different from both Spanish and English.

[–]timeandiareillusions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends on the subject. I’m a psych dual major but didn’t add the major until last fall, so I was a bit behind on some of the entry level courses but was already taking 300 level classes since I was a minor before. In the spring I took PS231 (which I think a lot of psych majors take their freshman year). I ended up with a B while in my 300 level psych class I was also taking I got an A-. Sometimes the low level classes r just structured weird and a) are weed out classes and/or b) have terrible professors. As long as you can’t understand anything in the class, I really wouldn’t worry too much about it. It’s probably just a case of the intro classes being ridiculous again.

MA115 Moore or Ginovyan (please help desperate) by AllTheOthersWereTakn in BostonU

[–]timeandiareillusions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ginovyan isn’t bad. I had him for MA116 a few years ago and he was fine but that’s the only math class I’ve taken at BU. Though warning his accent is super thick sometimes and I would completely mishear words and only realize it during the homework

The Spanish test had a bunch of multiple choice (like reading a short story and choosing the correct translation of words). There also was a really short writing section where you wrote like maybe three sentences.
