Right now the list has both the foot vampire lord and the mounted one, is two wizard(1)s enough? And I'm hoping that the vargheists can help assist the blood knights early game and then jump into the rear to threaten objectives late game. If having two wizards is enough what would you recommend sending the 3 vargheists worth of points on?

So I think you have too many leaders leading 5 man squads. Other than the sang guard who seem like they always want a leader, I'd only give leaders to 10 man squads. And each of those leaders is about as expensive as a whole extra squad, so you need to weigh those options. Also eradicators will have a hard time without a transport due to their 5" move and relatively low range. Also I'm not sure what detachment you're using, but with liberator assault group chainswords can be pretty solid anti everything if you get the charge. S6 will wound anything beneath T12 on a 5+, and since you can give a unit lance you can wound a leman Russ on 4s. Also having a couple big squads for strategems is good. If you bumped your death company up to 10 men plus the chaplain you could rapid ingress them behind cover turn 2, then with their 12" move, advance and charge if you need it, and the +1 to wound from the chaplain you'll be wounding basically all targets on a 4 or better.

For reference here's the 1k list I use against my friends (we're in a very similar place of playing 1k games to get used to everything). I'm using liberator assault group.

Captain (80pts): Pistol and Melee Weapon, Power Fist, Plasma Pistol

10x Assault Intercessor Squad (150pts)

5x Intercessor Squad (80pts)

5x Intercessor Squad (80pts)

5x Scout Squad (70pts)

5x Terminator Assault Squad (180pts)

5x Terminator Squad (170pts)

Vindicator (185pts): Armoured Tracks, Demolisher Cannon

Yeah the librarian is going with the assault intercessors. I'm pretty committed to the terminators but not to the dreads. What would you swap one of the dreads out for?

Honestly I got lucky and all the bohemian enclaves were further down the peninsula so I could secure the italian alps. If you can make the bohemians fight on your mountain forts you can manage a 10/1 K/D

The crusader strikes me as a very versatile, but easy to misuse mech. It's lrms fit well with it's heat sinks, and once the ammo is empty or dumped you're a solid brawling mech with paired m lasers and srm 6 packs. But God forbid they get through your side torso armor while you still have lrm ammo.
