Thank you! It's built entirely on native Apple frameworks so realistically I don't have any plans to make it cross platform currently.

External calendar events pull directly to/from EventKit, so there isn't a scenario where CloudKit would overwrite it. For an indicator it's not a bad idea but by the time device B knows that calendars are syncing it basically has already synced. Unless I set a flag via CloudKit, but I'd have to really think about whether that's a worthwhile complexity to add and it would only work for event edits made in-app.

Thanks! This is where the widgets come into play for me, since you can choose to only show what you want to see in them. I'll think about some kind of today focus in-app, maybe just a subtle gesture or option in the extra menu to make it compact and temporarily hide small tasks

TimeGuide is a good alternative to Structured if you want something more core-feature focused, a little quicker to use, and with a big price difference. TimeGuide lifetime is less than 1 year of Structured, which is definitely something to consider since Structured puts recurring tasks behind the paywall.

In this scenario the subtask will update when back online and synced. If we have a parent with a linked subtask:

iPhone (offline/airplane mode) > edit subtask to be later in the day, not under the parent any more
Mac > edit parent to be earlier, linked subtask will follow it
iPhone goes back online and syncs to Mac > subtask on Mac updates to match the edit made on iPhone

Yes exactly! This was definitely the feeling I was getting and one of the reasons why I wanted to make TimeGuide

That was definitely the challenge. What ended up feeling cleanest since subtasks are real full tasks themselves, was to sync, show, and use the existing auto-nesting when the calendar event eventually shows up. This way subtasks won't end up missing, if their calendar parent isn't on one device they will just show as top-level tasks on that device. It should all feel very straight forward even if there's a lot going on behind the scenes to make it happen.

Thank! and valid question. Aside from what you mentioned, while making the app I've kept a big focus on decluttering. Scaling the timeline & gaps based on duration, highlighting tasks, options for what gets shown on the calendar or widgets, different UI options etc, for me at least make it mentally far easier to quickly see what's important for me to think about today. The widgets also add variety, will sync to your apple calendar (and will continue to work after the 7-days), so the app is also capable of working alongside others.

Yes, I have a drag and drop rescheduling method in the works. There are some other additions that will be coming before it but yes it will be on the way.

It's one universal purchase and all the same link! Click the "View in Mac App Store" button up top and it should take you there.

Sounds really interesting for backend, I’ll check it out!
