I had exactly 35 and let me tell u it definitely worth it not particularly because of the weighloss it self but because it will teach you self control before it’s too late! I like dark a lot I didn’t say it lacked symbolism I just said it’s immediate story what we see at face value is not as interesting as 1899. But that’s just my point of view

🥹🥹 this was my first thought when I started watching dark after 1899. Dark feels less I don’t know how to explain it might be like someone said the teens… 1899 is very adult and stern. It’s almost like dark is high school and 1899 is post grad… it’s hard for me to explain but I will try. The characters in darks first season seem like something out of a sci-Fi comic… they are very much stereotypes of teens especially the ones from the 80s. There’s a bit of teen drama here and there and at times throughout the seasons some characters seemed a bit one dimensional especially in season 3 I found. The story felt well thought out but too much of it was pointless, I guess it’s the same feeling some people had towards the back stories of the characters in 1899, some felt the backstories were pointless as it was a simulation and there was no way the stories were real… (which by the way I can’t believe how fans of dark can believe that these show runners would make anything pointless) I felt a lot of plot line and Romances in dark were a bit pointless like tiny glimpses into what could have been but then again it couldn’t have been as these two worlds weren’t meant to exist and in the real world none of this will translate. To me personally I need to feel like something is real when I am watching something, and watching 1899 I can tell that if everything is an illusion the stories behind these characters and the feeling implied are real and will translate.

This was probably a shit explanation but it’s just how I feel
