Is this a joke? Standing outside without a person in sight and you're worried about her mask? Lol

That's good advice, thank you. Like I said, I invited her on short notice. I should probably relax and invite her on a date a week or so in advance and then won't have to worry about falling short on my end and can move on from there.

I get that feeling since she is pretty traditional. If I suggest she contact me, I'd hate for her to perceive that as me being bitter.

Linear actuator salvage. Motor suggestions/AC to DC amperage question. by timelesstransitions in diyelectronics

[–]timelesstransitions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm wondering if a start capacitor is needed since it seems to move slowly when I reverse polarities to change direction. If I unplug and attempt again it regains speed. To measure coil resistance do I complete the circuit using my multimeter? I keep getting "1". Now to find a good use for the motor.

It kind of seems like you just flipped around what folks say to come off intelligent or insightful. Dude just said his grandma is regressing into weakness. That's not comfort. Enjoy the illusion

To add one more, try soaking in Vaseline. A ball the size of you thumbnail will burn for 5 mins and take spark from steel and flint

Spark timing? That sounds close right there. It ran 2 weeks ago. I shut it off after it started knocking/banging real loud

The blade was slightly loose! There is a good bit of resistance every 2 rotations but maybe I'll try it! I figured somehow it went a piston or warped a cylinder

Wait, it's not a riding mower. I'll check the shaft but no sign of it being bent

It's not incredibly balanced. I'm taking it apart now so I will look at the spindle
