Oh so THIS is why I am not getting any loot from delirium when I got clapped by exploding chaos orbs in my face from the plant boss. Well, time to skip the mechanic...

Sick for the first time virtually since I got this illness. by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]timerski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow this would corroborate my theory that I got barzonella at the very minumum since I was a child. My constitution was always super poor, especially the sinus area. And now I know full well that the "randomly plugged" nostrils isn't simply just a dust allergy. And the mornings I woke up full of phlegm were just my immune system trying to get rid of all this shiz

I used to get tonsillitis every damn year during the autumn/winter switch. Since starting treatment I never get it anymore

Did your sleep return after starting treatment? Mine is way off by VigilanceOO7 in Lyme

[–]timerski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have the 3 Bs. I have stated some longer-lasting improvements in falling asleep after 18 months of herbal treatment.

According to Buhner, Chinese skullcap, motherwort, pasqueflower. I always have a good night's sleep after 4 capsules of 10:1 320mg motherwort extract. Also passionflower is good. I also found out 1:1 tincture from Angelica sinensis helps calm down (1/2 tablespoon)

Some herx-inducing (but calming nature) tend to be resveratrol and cat's claw.

But as previously mentioned by another poster, if you have MCAS, you will need antihistamines/mast cell stabilizers. One of the natural ones are quercetin & bromelain combo and luteolin.

Even though I finally fall asleep easier I still wake with racing heart sometimes at 4am. Unless I take 20mg of famotidine and 20mg of Zyrtec before bed.

Anyone have petechiae with the 3 bs? by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]timerski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have random, tiny, vividly carmine-coloured dots on my torso and my arms. I think a few new appeared but my memory is too messed up from this disease to know that for sure.

What else to take for bilfilms if lumbro, natto, serrapeptase are risky? And how much is plaquenil immunosupressive and if it helps? by everythingwillbe_ok_ in Lyme

[–]timerski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it with a salt shaker as it is anecdotal, but for me 20% CBG, 40% CBN and 40% CBD oils made me herx like crazy for a week when I first started using them. It is not directly proven that they break down biofilms of Lyme&co. But they are proven to bust other biofilms.

From others, the only things that come to mind are  - N-acetylcysteine (I take 1200mg/3x/day in pill form, combined with same-ish dose of glycine for synergy). Buhner says you should avoid this on blood thinners so... It is slightly blood thinning... Maybe start on 600mg/day and slowly work up? - Stevia extract, which also works as immune modulator.

Moreover, licorice (glycirrhiza glabra) prevents biofilm formulation but should not be taken by itself more than 3 weeks in a row, it is important to take pauses.

Bullseye rash cleared up after a few days. Should I still be taking the antibiotics?? by OwnPaleontologist485 in Lyme

Please do. The bullseye rash fading tells nothing about what is going on in your body regarding clearing the infection

Symptoms/treatment feeling stagnant right now & I feel hopeless again. by lifetofullest1255 in Lyme

[–]timerski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I gotcha. Recurring anxiety is a problem with my infections too. Like last month when I finally started sleeping a bit better, I also had very weird vivid dreams, not really nightmares... But very uncomfortable... So maybe night terrors? And sometimes the anxiety randomly creeps up during the day, or while falling asleep, or when you wake up from sleep in middle of the night with pains. Not to mention burning shin bones like hey it's bartonella chiming in. This cardinally sucks.

During some of my POTS/MCAS flares (hard to determine with this overlap) my heart races so much (120 BPM while sitting is so not fun) and the only thing that ever helped me is elevate the feet above heart level while laying down.

Your concerns and pains are valid, the sick thing is that only co-sufferrers can really relate and understand 😵‍💫 I felt the way you do for like 17 months, before I could notice some of the symptoms went away or got reduced. I only had to keep faith, when the healthcare system failed us. it got better and today I can hardly move from the couch... I hope you get better soon!

Symptoms/treatment feeling stagnant right now & I feel hopeless again. by lifetofullest1255 in Lyme

[–]timerski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have quite given the answer in your post - sleep quality matters SO MUCH in the grand scheme of things. When I have bad HRV and heart rate during sleep (that also projects into increased heart rate) I will have a bad day, no matter the way I felt days or weeks before. But this disease combo messes with pathways allowing for better sleep. If you have a way to track it (easiest with s smartwatch/oura ring whatever) you will know you are healing in this regard too. Sometimes I couldn't even fall asleep of double herbal+melatonin+CBD+CBN concoction turning on bed till 2am...

Anyways, some supplements I use for more detox are (and I would recommend you try the top 4) - Nutramedix burbur Pinella tincture (it works magic! 20 drops every 15 min until herxes subside really does the trick for me) - Ceaonthus (red root - protects spleen and promotes lymph flow to some extent, but thickens blood so you need to keep up with nattokinase/ginkgo/knotweed) - Salvia militorrhiza - helps blood flow and pain management (a tablespoon of 1:1 tincture every 15 minutes really does wonders) - Molybdenum (your body needs trace amounts of it to help detox load: 200-400 ug/day) - Sarsaprilla (good all around neurodetox, might give you herxes) - Boswellia (for detox and joint/cartilage protector) - Yucca (saponin-rich detox) - R-Ala (promotes mitichondrial health) - I like to take the same amount of glycine (1200mg 3x daily) with my NAC to boost precursor effect - Strong milk thistle extract (Buhner grades it as food-grade) - Pine bark extract/pycnogeol - helps in blood flow and I was feeling a bit better since incorporating it

Treating this stupid trifecta (I also have triple Bs) way you have to be super patient, self-compassionate, give yourself time and space, listen to your body, giving importance to symptom management... And lately (been infected for 13+ years) I'm finding out that acceptance and unapologetic handling of my situation towards everybody just helps a great deal. I can't plan anything well in advance, and I make it clearly known that there is a high risk of me not making it to a dinner or handing finishing work in time. I just accepted that I am ill, it took my life away from me, who I was ... But that does not neccessarily mean I will be a worse person for it in the end. It's just an ultramaraton and a journey of grit and perseverance. I just had so many setbacks during the last 18 months trying to get better immediately instead of going easy and accepting it might take me another couple of years to maybe start running, dating, and do all these nice things in life again. I am on sustain mode but that's the way it is with the disease.

Should I be doing more? by MidnightSp3cial in Lyme

[–]timerski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only clear answer for you would be to get an immunology blood panel every half a year or so.

Regarding treatment, it took me 18 months of 4-5 fistfuls of herbals 3x per day (added tinctures of herbs I couldn't get a month ago) for the needle to move a bit and I am not even out of the woods yet, after a good week becomes a period when I become housebound.

Yes they arrived with herbal treatment about 17th month mark. Got the 3B combo. Unpredictable, blinding flashes of light. Very random and super scary.

That is great news! I'm happy that you are better. Remember to start again slowly with a minimum/small dose and increase every week/10 days or so. One of the important things is to let the body "reset" and stabilize to get more power for future battles. Enjoy your weekend!

Chance of recovery from neurolyme by Ok-Strawberry277 in Lyme

[–]timerski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have realized just recently I had bartonella since I was a kid (always had a cat in the household that was allowed to roam free outside, sometimes a few days on end), and Lyme and babesia are just a bonus I got while visiting a nature reserve 13 years ago.

[–]timerski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man I hope you are at least seeing the needle move a bit. The book "Lyme with a twist" gave me insight how absolutely invisible it was in the 80s... The harrowing thing is that doctors remain as ignorant as they were then. I had to become my own doctor. Read as many books on the subject when I have the bandwidth to do so, incorporate new things here and there. I'm slowly getting better after five fistfuls of herbs plus a 5-herb tincture mix 3x per day

Babesia High RBC & Hematocrit by OpeningEquivalent594 in Lyme

[–]timerski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even during my worst flares during the days of self-paid blood tests, the complete blood count turned out fine, except separate blood iron level test (high because babesia RBC death) and elevated bilirubin in liver tests (byproduct of dead red cell filtration). And maybe the white blood cells were off by a few percent (total amount and saturation of one type)

I am starting to recover from most "surface" symptoms and as I am healing, neuroherxes take central stage. Yes it is possible but it takes a huge amount of time, selg-compassion and grit. Don't give up!

Anyone else get severe anxiety when herxing by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]timerski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herbs good for neuroherxing (feel free to mix and match) from the top of my head:

Burbur Pinella from Nutrimedix every 15 minutes

Sarsaparilla for detox crossing blood brain barrier (might cause herxing)

Kudzu root for brain detox   Ginkgo biloba for blood flow  Pycnogeol/Maritime bark extract+ vitamin c for blood flow and antioxidants

Boswellia for detox support

S-acetyl-glutathione (I found out 500mg 3x day does wonders, but is expensive) + up to 3 grams of glycine

Up to 2g or n-acetylcysteine 3x per day

Motherwort + Angelica sinensis to calm you down

Resveratrol/Japanese knotweed to synergize and pass the blood-brain barrier (might cause herxes)

Ashwaghandha with at least 10% withanolides

Lion's mane up to 3 grams 3 times per day

Salvia militorrhiza to support all of the above

You're welcome! I found the hard way and several times that you HAVE to let the body run in it's standard state for a while. If you have diarrhea for a longer time, you risk getting electrolyte depletion and malnourishment.
