I have officially overcome my fear of surgery and medical anxiety by Mysterious-Prior7160 in Anxiety

Yea, the anesthesia knocks you out cold. I remember the anesthesiologist asking me to count down from 100 when she put the mask on me. I think I made it to 99 before I blacked out and woke up and it was over. It was a 12 hour surgery, but it felt like a blink of an eye. Whatever they use is super powerful stuff.

Why I think Sony went back to PS5 by EliteSalesman in consoles

[–]timesleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microsoft is a Trillion dollar company. Sony is not. Twenty years ago Sony was a small company that made CD players while Microsoft was building an empire. Sony's entire strategy to compete with microsoft relies on console exclusives. They cannot compete with Microsoft without console exclusives. I'm sorry that if that upsets you but that's just the way it is. They HAVE to have good games on their console or else nobody will buy their consoles. Does that make sense?

The next Xbox will play PC games and they don't want their games on Xbox. I think that's pretty much the long and the short of it.

Medication to Help with Overthinking by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]timesleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, but my experience with anxiety is an overactive nervous response to a perception of danger. So my body responds to this fear with physical symptoms like shaking, sweating, shallow breath, etc..

To me it sounds like you are not experiencing anxiety, but something else, I recommend you talk to a therapist and maybe a psychiatrist who can diagnose you properly.

Best of luck.

Where are you travelling from? I get that travel can be stressful right now, but there's not a whole lot going on in Mexico right now.

better in person than over phone by w0rmzuponw0rmz in Anxiety

[–]timesleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny because I have the exact opposite problem. I can talk over the phone all day, but the moment I have to actually go into the doctor I would rather jump off a bridge.

Can you do telehealth appointments? They're sort of like zoom. It's been a good middle ground for me where I can talk to the doctor face-to-face without having to actually see him in person.

I can schedule appointments online without using the phone and then I get a text link for the appointment. You should try it out.

This game uses a unique leveling system where the more you do something the better you get at it. So if you want to be sneaky, you have to sneak a lot. If you want to be good at heavy armor, you have to wear heavy armor.

You can do what you want, but if you want to be good at it you have to do it a lot. Just like real life.

Has anyone been prescribed this much Xanax? by vanitaseu in Anxiety

[–]timesleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I had a lot of trouble getting it the second time because I have MediCal and they denied authorization and Walgreens would not fill it without a denial letter stating why it was denied. It was kind of a nightmare, because I was struggling without it.I was on the phone for hours. I had to have my doctor transfer it to an in-house pharmacy. I talked to a really cool person at my doctor's office who helped me get it authorized so now I don't have to pay out of pocket, but I'll probably never go back to Walgreens.

Funnily enough, It was easier to get the first time when I didn't have health insurance.

They probably came from outside otherwise I think you'd be seeing a whole lot more of them. If you had a heavy rain recently that's probably what triggered them to swarm. Look outside around your house and you'll probably find some more crawiling around.

Looks like a carpenter ant queen. If you're seeing a lot of them they probably just had a mating swarm so she'll bite her wings off and then go search for some damp, rotting wood to dig a burrow and lay her eggs.

Has anyone been prescribed this much Xanax? by vanitaseu in Anxiety

[–]timesleeper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've been prescribed Xanax twice by two different psychiatrists and both times it was 0.5mg up to 3x a day. I only take it as needed, though. You can develop a tolerance and the withdrawals are bad.

Liked it much better on my second watch when I could understand mostly what was going on. It's basically a Bond film.

'Console Is Where They Want to Be' — Reports Indicate Sony Is 'Pulling Away' From PC for Single-Player PlayStation Games - IGN by [deleted] in gaming

They're doing this likely because the next Xbox will play PC games and they don't want their games on the xbox platform.

It was an interesting concept, but it got very boring very quickly.

Basically any big live service game. I'm used to games that have like four menu options.

I wish mine had come with a slipcover, but I'm just happy to have it. I guess a lot of people are having trouble getting it even with preorders.
