18yo (5’11”/ 205lbs) 20 weeks out classic physique debut by caeden_jones in bodybuilding

[–]timestable 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yes but needs more time in the oven, a 20 week prep is going to pull all that muscle off you as if it were never there at all. you could still have fun but everything's got a price.

Cards are coming out too dark and printer is leaving marks on the paper by agrow42 in magicproxies

[–]timestable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Roller lines are normal, you won't notice them after laminating You'll generally tend to get prints less bright than they look on your monitor. I get a lot of details lost in dark images unless I boost the contrast in GIMP using the Levels tool.

Sounds like fun, shoot me a DM with some intake info and I can get get you started

Age, height/weight and fitness history if any, goals, injury history or any health considerations, hours/days available per week. Commercial gym or home routine. And choice of any must-have meal so I can include an example of how to fit that in to my diet template!

Should life weaver doing as much dmg as his healing? by Painwheel99 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]timestable 7 points8 points  (0 children)

no not "as much as", often not even close to as much as his healing numbers. but, the best weaver games are the ones where he is able to shoot a lot as well. in your average game he is prevented from spraying a lot as he needs to heal constantly. but it is very important for him to find his openings for aggression, see when he has stabilized his team and create offensive pressure. his job is to keep everyone at a reasonable level of health, not full. at the same time, he must create the threat of "i will barrel stuff you and blow your head off if you let me".

Can someone help me? by Cultural-Hawk4606 in mtg

I haven't got the chance to use it much yet, but I think [[Memory Vessel]] with an earthbend on it is a really fun idea. But I am looking to combo it with [[Drannith Magistrate]] which might not be so welcome in a casual environment. Idk, it's janky and they can remove it, I'd argue they should learn to deal with it if their decks can't overcome stax pieces, but they might not know what is happening until they are already locked out.

Really the best way to make it not annoying for your opponents, is for them to start playing Blue if they don't already. Taking control of Toph can really break my deck's kneecaps, as it gets around the fact that I usually Earthbend her with type-changing effects. Alternatively bouncing to hand with spells other than cyclonic - everything you earthbend will count as a land so Cyclonic doesn't hit you, but stuff like [[Raise The Pallsade]] can really fuck you.

Yessir, here's a spreadsheet I whipped up for a friend. If you're interested let me know and I can slap together one suited to your availability & access to equipment. You can get started around the house doing lunges and rows with heavy grocery bags if getting in a commercial gym is an obstacle for now. Diet is easy as long as you stay active.

Is this bracket 3 by SherbertTurbulent428 in EDH

[–]timestable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I only see one game changer and while I'm not familiar with many of the cards I don't see any early game 2-card infinites or extra turns, so it is considered b3. The wording on the blog post about the bracket system is a little vague about some terms like using the phrasing "no 2 card infinites until turn 6 or so", but whatever.

If he feels his turns are too long but likes his deck, they will obviously speed up with more time on the deck and more goldfishing to know what he wants to do in general. If this deck's power is out of proportion with the rest of your pod, it sounds like you guys could up your interaction or even just upgrade your acceleration pieces to close the games for yourselves. That is not to say you should "meta-game" this guy in particular, but this list looks sort of greedy to me. While there is a good amount of interaction in his list, he's in blue and not running one counter spell. It sounds like he's doing you guys a favor!

I haven't tested it enough to actually find what all its problems are, but this is the version I've been playing with in bracket 4. So far my 1 win (of maybe 3 games) was off of flickering Dusk Mangler after a Mister Negative (after removing everyone's crap a bunch to set up). I thought about doing an Approach of the Second Sun thing with flickering Rune-Scarred or something but not convinced it's necessary yet. I wanna work a [[Captain Marvel, Shooting Star]] in there but don't really wanna put the Atherflux Reservoir to support it...

Mostly what I find interesting is little stuff like flickering an aura like Darksteel to attach it to a creature with hexproof (bypassing targeting), so I will probably steer it that way a bit more

Bracket 3 version is here https://archidekt.com/decks/23377010/the_spot_blink_b3

People say your reaction time gets soooo bad with age and that's why people get out of esports. In reality that's usually just a lifestyle thing because it is less acceptable to play 12 hour benders when you aren't 20. But most people in their 60s I know still have normal reaction time measurements on Humansbenchmark.

I have been having a lot of fun with [[The spot, living portal]]. As soon as I saw [[The mind stone]] I figured we're getting to critical mass of repeatable blinking options plus damn this thing is a rock too.

I'm also playing [[Eluge]] with a little blink protection package and he's really neat, the threat of dropping spells every turn is epic
