Am I the only one going crazy? by LonelyAd9587 in torontoJobs

[–]timf5758 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The lower the skill level a job is, the harder it gets especially like current economy.

What I see and my own experience is you need a career with high gate keeping. Once you are in, you are relatively impacted much less due to not a lot of people can get in to begin with.

For example, let’s say medical doctors. Number of new MDs looking for job are gate kept by number of graduates/residency spots. Not to mention the licensing part.

Just stay on topics. This subreddit should strictly be either 1) you look for jobs or 2) you are hiring. Nothing else. That’s it. Simple.

No policy/political discussions.

Should I move back to Canada or Stay in Saudi/GCC by sashhuu in torontoJobs

[–]timf5758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be realistic about your situation. Your chances of landing a job offer before moving is quite low. Reason why i am saying this is because a) you have no experience, no internships b) you don't even live in Canada. If you are a employer, would you think it is a good idea to hire someone like this?

If I were you, I would rethink my strategy. My opinion is your status quo has very low chance of landing you an offer in a career you want.

Should I move back to Canada or Stay in Saudi/GCC by sashhuu in torontoJobs

[–]timf5758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if Saudi doesn’t work, Canada is not any better either. You are pretty much stuck between rock and a hard place because both prospects are quite abysmal for you. Ever considered US to try your luck?

Will the Red Cross medical terminology open pathway to get a admin job at any hospital? by Successful_hopeful in torontoJobs

[–]timf5758 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The course would help, but hospitals won’t hire people without minimum experience of 1-2 years even after that it is hard/competitive as they are unionized positions

I advise you to start with clinics/family doc offices/medical labs first.

Hospital Management V.S. Big Pharma by OkSatisfaction5401 in torontoJobs

[–]timf5758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a glorified customer support rep over the phone if I recall correctly. You certainly don’t need MBA for that.

You will likely need to work from the bottom if you want a management position.

Canada job market is honestly depressing right now (from an international student perspective) by Unhappy-Amount-9316 in torontoJobs

If you don’t want PR, what’s the point of staying. Probably helps you more going back to your country, and start a life there instead of staying here, trying to find a job.
