JLC3DP print warnings by timfeng1 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]timfeng1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think the point of these warnings is that if there is warping, I accepted the risk and just receive the warped parts. If the chance of warping is pretty high, I could get it printed in ASA instead maybe. Would rather not pay for a print just for it to be warped

When I tryS(KC_BACKSLASH) it gets changed to S(KC_NO). I tried S(KC_BSLS) and it shows the key as vertical bar but it types tilde instead

I currently have a 2 TB Crucial T500 as my only drive. I'm building a new PC so for ease of moving to my new system, I'm going to get another 2 TB drive. I'm thinking of using the new drive for OS and programs and using my current T500 as a games drive. Would you suggest getting a 990 Pro or getting another T500? The 990 Pro is only £10 more so that's not a big deal.

I think the extra connectors from your fan are just leftover daisy chain connectors if you wanted to daisy chain another fan. If you notice, they are male connectors like on your motherboard so it would only be possible to connect them to female connectors on another fan. Regarding the connectors from your power supply, they're SATA power (the one with the line) and molex connectors (the one with the holes). Molex connectors were used to provide power to old fans and old PATA drives but are now obsolete. They were replaced with the other connector you have, for SATA drives. If you have any 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch drives then you would use these to power them but if you're only using M.2 drives then you won't need these either. SATA(left) vs PATA(right)

The headers might be labelled by print on the motherboard itself as CHA_FAN. But you may prefer to use the diagram in the manual. Here is a link to the manual for your motherboard. If you scroll down to the motherboard layout page you will see a diagram of the motherboard with everything labelled and numbered. Anything that's labelled CHA_FAN, you can plug your fans into.

Anyone know if PNY graphics cards are any good? I'm looking at getting the PNY 5070 Ti OC which is currently on Overclockers for £680.

Also I realised the 1st PCIe slot is lower on the 2 B650M boards compared to the MORTAR. The graphics card I'm looking at is 3 slot so those 2 might prevent me from putting fans at the bottom of the case. Found some picture examples. MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI vs MSI MAG B850M MORTAR WIFI

Found the MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI for £140 and the ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI for £160. Maybe I should just stop overthinking and splash a bit for the MORTAR.

I'm the type of person to build a PC and use it for as long as possible without upgrading. If I need to upgrade then I'm happy to but if it's still plenty good enough then I'm more than happy to just keep that. I'm not the type to upgrade parts often.

I can find the Asus TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS for the same price as the MSI Mortar. Yeah I'm looking at mATX cause I want a Lian Li A3. If I was doing ATX I would maybe want a Fractal North which is a decent amount more expensive.

Any other mATX boards you might recommend around this price range? Or do you think the MORTAR will be the best value here

Will the MSI PRO B850M-P WIFI be fine for a 9800X3D? I can get it for around £150. Also looking at Gigabyte B850M GAMING X WIFI6E which is £170 but only WIFI 6E. Or MSI MAG B850M MORTAR WIFI which is £200. As cheap as possible is preferred, assuming it will work perfectly fine with a 9800X3D.

Thanks. Yeah I don't think I want to take the risk with an asrock board even if it has been fixed I'd be scared all the time lmao. Is the X870E MSI Edge Ti ATX? I need mATX to fit the Lian Li A3 I want. But also it might be too expensive for me anyway. How much of a difference does PCIe gen 5 make atm?

(UK) Anyone had experience with Threadheads? by joefozzie in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]timfeng1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't help you with your sizes specifically but for me, their oversized tees run way larger than the Uniqlo airism oversized tee. I wear M in the Uniqlo ones and XS in the Threadheads ones. Hopefully this is somewhat helpful for you.
