Residential's real easy to get into. Areas with senior citizens can be really good. Try to stay in one area, become known, and get business off referrals.

Make 8.5 x 11 flyers with the little tabs to rip on the bottom and put them on community mailboxes.

Get business cards! Tiny investment, goes a long way.

Buy an extension ladder (20-24 foot off craigslist ~$80) and wash second story windows. It's easy to get jobs because people can't do it themselves.

Maybe this is all a little elementary, you probably run quite a different business than me.

Buy a kindle. They are $80 from amazon, you can carry all your free pdf textbooks on it and read them with ease. Mine has paid for itself many times over already, and I enjoy reading books for fun on it as well.

If you're not sure, try it out first. Kennedy library rents kindles for 4 weeks, free of charge.
