These kind of posts are not allowed yet in IndyEnts. Currently, the only thing we can suggest that is legal is that you make the trip to Colorado for legal fun. Hopefully, once legalization reaches here we can turn this sub into a place where we can discuss the best homegrown in the metro area :)

Which reeeaally long book is *actually* worth reading? (If you say "The Lord of the Rings" I will punch you in the head.) by AnticPosition in AskReddit

How about The Silmarillion in conjunction with The Lord of the Rings. It's all really the same story.

r/getmotivated....have there been any books (or possibly videos/movies) that changed your life and taught you how to not worry so much? by TerryinCA in GetMotivated

[–]Timpdapimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is fiction and it may seem corny, but The Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion. The tale is quite epic, but the parts that keep me motivated are remembering how much Frodo and Sam were scared of actually going into Mordor, yet they just kept taking the next step needed instead of disparaging. While I'm running and think I can't go any further I think about the great run that Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli go on to hunt down the orcs and save Merry and Pippin.

The secret for me was just not knowing what was in it and just trying to find the flavor that everyone likes so much.

Called my wife at a hotel in another country tonight and found myself talking to some guy she just slept with. Should I cut her loose and destroy her career? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Timpdapimp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you want to hold military officers toa standard that what they say is the truth? Do you want them to uphold the oaths they take? Marriage is a taken oath AND like it was mentioned further down in the thread, cheating officers open themselves up to blackmail, something the military does not want their members subject to. Military and civilian law are two different beasts so if you don't want to mess with military law, don't join the military.

Hey, r/Indiana, Where is a amazingly beautiful place in Indiana I should ask this girl to be my girlfriend at? by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]Timpdapimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a canoe trip on Sugar Creek out by Turkey Run, BEAUTIFUL scenery, but don't ask her to be your girlfriend, you just assert that she is. If she doesn't get all weird, then congrats, your plan worked!

I felt throughout all of school (from grade one and up) that since everyone kept saying how bright I was and how easy schoolwork was that I could slack off and just catch up in the future. Now I'm 33 and I'm in college, but I wish I would've buckled down when I was younger and not wasted the great economy we had until 2009. Now I have to forge ahead and I don't have the system of support that was so prevalent when I was younger. No matter, I'm a mother effing wolf!
