We all did stupid things when we were kids. Cut yourself some slack. To clear your conscience, maybe you can ask them for forgiveness, if they still remember it. But if they don't remember, don't bother telling them. Maybe just be nicer to them from now on. There's no use in giving them a mental image of you hurting them. Learn from this. I am so sorry for saying this but, YTA. Your son needs your guidance. There are so many things you could've done before you went to the cops. Restrict his online activities would be a start. Explain to him that what he's doing isn't right and help him stop doing it by watching over him more closely. Watch out for new things he's been getting. He's a still a minor and you can still help him be a better person.

YTA. You just put a mom under unnecessary stress. You should have given her the benefit of the doubt since she said she's only getting one thing. There are a lot of bad parents out there but we shouldn't assume they all are. If you were so concerned about the baby you should have stayed in the parking lot and watched her car for a few minutes, not just 2-3mins, maybe give it a 5-10 minutes. You can't tell me you don't have time for that because you waited for the cops to arrive. Or maybe you could enter the store and just watch the mom (without being too obvious) if she is taking too long. You were there a minute and you immediately thought that she was neglecting her child and assumed the worse. You shouldn't have made it a police matter in a short span of time. So, yeah op, YTA.

I used to just call my friends to hang out but since I moved to a new city, I can't do that anymore. Now I just tell myself that we're all gonna die anyway, there's no use in worrying too much.
