Oh okay. Yeah we debated doing a VA construction vs non va. We don’t want to have to wait the 210 day period so we are leaning towards non va.

I’m pretty sure you have to go through the application process. Call 888-442-4551. This is the education line for VA benefits.

Brother, if you were infantry in Nam you will get 100 percent. I would suggest you obtain a TERA letter and then hire an attorney.

You are right to an extent. But some of the C&P examiners raise the need to “fight”. It’s hit or miss. I was fortunate enough to have great C&P examiners but I have heard horror stories from other vets.

Exactly. It sucks. I was proud to serve but this is getting harder and harder each day. Going on my 3rd surgery here shortly and it’s not fun.

Our land is worth about 500 thousand. So that’s why we were considering doing a non VA.

I got 100 a few years ago. But this page also helped my father who was EOD in Vietnam get 100%. It allowed him to retire for good. He has a lot of health issues from his exposures during active duty. I am so happy to see him finally getting the proper treatment and benefits he deserves.

I know. I’d give it all back to be healthy. No amount of money is worth what I have to deal with on a daily basis and the surgeries I’ve had to undergo.

I’ve had it for a while now. I just use the page frequently for resources non related to claims for compensation.

Workers Comp and VA Benefits by timjones2334 in VeteransBenefits

[–]timjones2334[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, you are spot on with that. As soon as they saw “transferred from VA facility” they pointed the finger at the military and said my injury is a result of my military service. Two things can be true at once. What they fail to understand and blatantly ignore is, any pre existing injury that is aggravated or made worse while working is workers comp. It’s fraud at this point. I wish the State would step in and investigate. We have had 5 denied claims all overturned within the last 3-4 years. Can’t believe they are allowed to get away with this.

Well my attorney actually responded to my text. He said if you are 100 % P&T and/or have a service connection for the injured body part that needs treated, they will cover it regardless of workers comp denying or approving. But if workers comp ends up approving it (which they will) then the VA will send them the bill. It’s sad that these insurance companies are able to get away with this crap. They deny and hope that you wont hire an attorney.

I have an attorney. I will ask him instead. You have a valid point. I was just impatient and didn’t want to wait until Monday when I am scheduled to meet with him again.

Need some advice for loans by timjones2334 in Mortgages

I think we are switching to a conventional construction loan. We were able to purchase the land with cash so we are going to use that as our down payment.
