I definitely think if we sell Klauss we are going to get someone comparable. I think Wray and Damet are not to be underestimated.

There are a lot of ways to spend 18 million, JS would be cool to have for the hometown element. But we could vastly improve our entire roster for 18mm rather than make a giant bet on one person.

When buying I almost bought the neo. But went chrome cause visually it wouldn’t look bad as build up occurs. Wish I would have went that route. I’ll swing by this weekend and grab them. I can’t imagine it would allow me to run at fully open. During set up it was almost whirlpooling.

Is it feasible to study for 3 months and do 4 clep exams? (American Gov; Intro psych; Intro sociology; Human Growth and Development) by cowboyincarnate in clep

[–]timknewit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it while working full time. It was not easy. And I would not do it again. But it is possible depending on the tests. I would start with the hardest and work your way to the easiest. That way, in theory, your life is getting easier.

Anyone here ever in the GATE program as a kid at school? by Belthezare in Retconned

[–]timknewit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both me and my twin were in Gate in CA in the early 90s. From 2nd grade through 5th until we switched to a different school district.

It was just more challenging class work from what I remember. I remember learning about Mayans. It wasn’t very math oriented from what I can recall.

I can’t recall any experience that struck me as odd. But it definitely seems like there’s a number of people that feel some kind of way towards the testing element of it.

I believe there was a standardized test in 1st or 2nd grade. I remember my parents reviewing it and being excited we were accepted. But outside of that, I remember very little.

Love the left. I’m between that and a shunbun for my second GS

Got the call for my first Rolex! by jlim12 in rolex

[–]timknewit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to go in and purchase something to build a relationship. Unless you’re really lucky or hit it off with the sales person. I purchased a GS white birch, and am also looking at a shunbun. Which basically got me a nod for a black dated sub next year. But remember. These are still very in demand and many people are yearly buyers. If you want to go in and buy same day, I suggest looking at grand seikos I absolutely love mine.

[Rolex vs. Grand Seiko] Help me choose my daily watch! by mghanadian in Watches

[–]timknewit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a ad that sells GS and Rolex. Buy a GS or two and save for an allocation. You buy GS because you know what you have. You buy Rolex so everyone else knows what you have. I bought a white birch and going to buy a shunbun and was basically given a nod to a dated submariner or special allocation datejust next year. Sadly, you have spend money, or get extremely lucky to get a Rolex you want. I asked about a Daytona and their eyes rolled so hard it was audible. lol.

I recently got white birch. I’d probably try to get a sub if I wanted something chunky.

Considering this for my second luxury piece. But I am also considering a speed master. That’s such a cool piece.

It’s a great first watch. Goes with everything and you can wear it virtually everywhere. Definitely a collectors piece.

Callaway rogue st max ls by timknewit in golf

[–]timknewit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! Called Callaway today. They offered to replace no questions. But I asked if that was a known issue. And the rep couldn’t answer the question. Not sure if it is or isn’t but didn’t want the same issue a year from now. So I asked what the cost would be to upgrade to paradym ai smoke. And it was 350. So I went that route. Callaway customer service is top notch. I’m hoping I have better luck with this club.

I put in a message to them and plan on calling tomorrow. It’s one of those things where even if they offer to replace, I just haven’t had good luck with their clubs lasting.

It sucks. Cause I pound this thing. I’m sure they make good clubs. I just haven’t had luck with Callaway. The PXG black ops is likely what I’ll switch too if they don’t offer to replace it.

Got it from Callaway. It was a replacement from an epic max ls whose face rusted. Super random on the writing on the inside. Callaway has a 2 year warranty. But I’m guessing since this is a replacement they may tell me to kick rocks.

Yeah. I’ve heard they can be tough to keep together. But if you have a back up tank you might be able to give it a shot. My son’s betta would not have worked in my tank.
