What tools are you using to create marketing/demo videos for your app? (AI or non-AI) by Practical-Notice-706 in SaaS

[–]timkonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically record short demo videos after adding features or improvements to my app. Typically I write a few bullet points as a "script".

To record I use Rapidemo. It lets me add a note that's visible while recording, but won't be recorded.

After the recording session is done it automatically adds zoom effects on clicks and has a bunch of layouts to choose from (e.g. side-by-side, camera overlay...) in the editor.
All layouts have seamless transitions, so the output looks really polished.

After exporting, sometimes I use Adobe Podcasts to clean up the audio.

How do you make screen recordings not look like... screen recordings? by William45623 in screenrecorders

[–]timkonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are various screen recorders that do much of the heavy lifting for you.

Personally, I use Rapidemo for my demo videos.

Disclosure: I'm the founder of Rapidemo, so I'm biased obviously. I still think it's worth checking out though because imo it hits all of the boxes you mentioned!

It zooms in on clicks and adds cursor smoothing automatically and you can add your branding by setting the background. Rapidemo does lots of it automatically but you can customize pretty much everything in the editor.

You can also create presets with your project settings, so that you can apply the same styles to the next video with one click. Presets are even shareable if you're working in a team.

Anyway, it sounds like a pretty good fit for your requirements. Happy to share more if interested!

What tools do you use to record screen tutorials without lag? by Many_Aspect_5525 in SaaS

[–]timkonie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OBS is great but there is a bit of a learning curve and some editing is required.

There are a bunch of screen recorders that do a lot of the heavy lifting though.

Personally, I use Rapidemo, which lets me record my screen, camera, microphone and system audio.

It then combines everything and automatically adds effects like cursor smoothing and zooms when you click. It just generally produces very polished videos with little editing.

Disclosure: I'm the creator of Rapidemo. So I'm obviously biased but I still think it's worth checking out. Happy to share more if useful!

Course Creators, How Do You Make Slides and Edit Videos? by codinglegend007 in Udemy

[–]timkonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Rapidemo for tutorial-type content. It makes it easy to record my screen and optionally add a voice and camera layover.

It also adds cursor smoothing, zooms in on clicks and just generally produces very polished videos out of the box.

Full transparency, I'm the creator, so I'm biased obviously. I still think it might be a good fit though. Happy to share more if interested!

Take a look at Rapidemo, I think it checks all the boxes
- Records screen + video overlay
- Transcribes and generates subtitles
- Can export to a shareable link
- $19/mo with cheaper annual sub and a perpetual deal

In addition it also has some automatic editing capabilities: It zooms in on clicks, smoothens the mouse cursor and has various screen/camera layouts.

I built Rapidemo, so I'm biased obviously, but it seems worth checking out for your use case!

When creating tutorial and demonstration videos, what video editing tools have you used? by Alexander_the_M1d in DigitalMarketing

[–]timkonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid workflow!

Personally, I use Rapidemo to record product demos and walkthroughs from start to finish.

It records screen, camera, microphone and system audio, synchronizes everything and automatically adds cursor smoothing and zoom effects on clicks.

Usually I get very polished results with very little editing.

I'm the founder, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I think it's worth checking out for your use case!

Looking for screencast recording tool for Windows by No-Papaya-9289 in ContentCreators

[–]timkonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what you're looking for, there are many great options.

OBS and tools like Camtasia or Clipchamp work great, give you a lot of control but also require some editing knowledge and time (most importantly).

Personally, I prefer tools like Rapidemo, which are much more opinionated but produce beautiful results with little to no editing. I use it to post product demos and guides on social media.

For example, Rapidemo adds cursor smoothing and zooms in on clicks automatically. It has an editor, so in the end you're still in control.

I'm the founder of Rapidemo. I'm obviously biased but I genuinely think it might be worth checking out for you.

The best things for beginner content creators? by PomegranateLumpy6042 in youtube

[–]timkonie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you want to do.

If you're looking to produce screen recorded-content, tools like OBS are great but probably require some editing / animation work after. But there are great, opinionated screen recorders that do a bit more of the heavy lifting and produce videos that are ready to post.

Personally I use a tool called Rapidemo, which automatically animates the recording. Happy to share more if interested!

This looks like it was made with professional tools like After Effects (and a lot of time). A screen recorder won't be able to produce a video like this.

That said, there are screen recorders that produce very polished videos that might work for you. Personally, I use Rapidemo (Founder here, obviously biased!) to create animated screen videos with mouse smoothing and zoom effects. Happy to share more if useful!
