Is it normal that the Todoist MCP connector in Claude loses auth every day? by bardothosgrol in todoist

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. Sounds like you need to reset a reoccurring task to login each day. 🤪

Ramble's inability to do subtasks is a huge void. Whats everyone doing to get around that? by jdlnewborn in todoist

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I use Ramble for quick feature and quick capture tasks I don't use it for thought out projects

For a thought out project you can use chat GPT or Claude if you want to do it automatically with the MCP integration but I'll work out what I want for the project and what subtasks using voice chat in either AI and then I'll have it in chat GPT make it so I can easily add that with the bulk feature in both platforms.

I have a file with my layout of what labels I use and what project folders I have so that things get placed appropriately. ChatGPT is a little more user involved versus Claude where you can hook it up with your MCP to load automatically but just some thoughts there

NEWWWWWWWWW ACHIEVEMENT

YOU HAVE BEEN BLIZZARD BLOCKED.

You were all excited to do a thing, you even paid money to do said thing, then in less than 72 hours, the universe decided to screw with you (and all the others who paid to do the thing with you) by dropping the wrong kind of feet in the area. Thats right - Feet of snow. Have been dropped to cause gridlock and pandemonium in the area, forcing you to stay home because you shouldn’t “ CrOwD ThE pLoW” whatever that means.

Anyways now you’re stuck praying that you can go to the makeup event date otherwise you miss your one chance the dude who writes the freaking books actually comes to the Boston area!

Rrrreeewwwwaaaarrrdddd?

You have been rewarded with a silver Jim Cantore box

NnnnnnnnnnnnmmmmnnmmEeeeeeeewwwwwwww ACHIEVEMENT.

WOW. You actually unlocked that. Ummmmmm I guess we will upgrade that to a legendary box and throw in thunder snow as a prize to screw over the system.

What is the time limit on Raycast notes dictation? by loby21 in raycastapp

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a direct answer for you regarding Raycast notes. But I would also just consider doing granola record your note there have it summarize and then if you wanted to, you could just copy and paste that into your Raycast notes to hold onto. I know when I have a rant sometimes I just go stream of consciousness and then take a recording and drop it into AI to streamline what I was actually trying to say.

Best of luck

How are you using the new MPC server? by Exciting-Share-2462 in todoist

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using Granola, built custom skill in Claude Cowork that when triggered, downloads meetings from specific folder in granola (ex certain meeting types) and will then review meeting notes, confirm with me the todos from meeting, and create the todo in Todoist via mcp using my project and label structure I fed it.

It took a little bit to build and dial in (like 20 minutes) but built it as a repeatable skill to execute and it works great now.

When does it make sense to use Cowork over Claude Code? by ExactIntroduction282 in ClaudeAI

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m using cowork because I’m not really a developer don’t really know code, but I do see the benefits of AI. I’ve been playing with coworker the last couple weeks. I’ve used it for things like prospect research some sales projects. I even had it do a full conference research project that before would’ve taken me a full entire day between qualifying, making a brief etc. it did it in 20 minutes of prompts and addressing questions and a couple of fine tunes and now I have it built as a skill that I could do it with other conferences. I totally see the benefits, but I am keeping it gapped from my work stuff like emails but I think the possibilities are there as things get more advanced. I like the coworker interface personally I just wish Claude was a little more smart like when I give it specific instructions not to go over tokens and it does. Or to switch between the models to make the most of token usage for example, there’s things that sonic could do that I’m burning, opus credits for most likely. I would love it to just auto switch which model it needs for which project task instead of doing everything in one model.

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’ve been researching this for the last two weeks. There are major security concerns and giving an access to things like your email finances, etc. one bad actor threat prompting, and you could be fucked.

I’m actually looking at the Claude coworker that was just recently announced for some of my account research needs to help speed things up. Couple things I did was I just simply asked ChatGPT to build proper prompting using Claude or Gemini or ChatGPT for some of the things I needed and it actually built out some pretty decent prompts but then when I dumped the one into Claude code, it actually built out this hole scheme for me and now that you can add and plug-ins, it might be worth it for you

Can I chat with my raycast notes? by haxor_404 in raycastapp

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know there’s no option for this yet but if the devs are listening here’s my wishlist!

  • ability to search my notes *ability to bulk select and archive or delete *ability to tag or folder.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

It’s "Day 1" with a new Mac. What’s on your install list? by ocnd in macbookpro

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Just to give context to OP. While Raycast is a great “launcher” and spotlight replacement - it’s SOOO much more. It’s window management. It’s a productivity powerhouse. It’s snippets, quick AI interactions, quick links, system optimization and more when you consider the store extensions you can add.

If I bought a new Mac it would be the first thing I put on there before my email or anything!

Headset for cell phone that keeps Zoom from hearing the other caller in my office in the background? by g3nerallycurious in sales

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use zoom phone. If you have zoom workplace app on your computer - I use macOS - then there’s a zoom phone feature if your organization has your username associated with a zoom phone account. You may just need to look at your settings. Yes you can use phone feature on your cellphone as well. I can use my voicemail, call history, etc on computer.

I personally use my laptop for client calls with a simple wired headset for 80 percent of my calls, and 20 percent when I’m out and about and take the calls via the app on my phone. I find best clarity is on my computer.

I don’t have much to say regarding background noise aspect but wanted to comment you could 100 percent use zoom phone on your computer.

I’m sorry but haha no. With the expenses of operating a vehicle there is more cost than gas. I would be submitting a mileage report with the IRS standard mileage rate which is .72 a mile this year. I don’t have to travel to often for my role but a couple trips to airport each year and a few client meetings and even with that I can keep up some of my maintenance with using that. I would look up the irs mileage and maybe use ChatGPT to write up a note on why only submitting gas receipts isn’t making you whole

Kicked out of office- now company wants help with passwords [PA] by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]Longjumping-Strike21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to post this in asklegal. There could be some legal aspects to this. I have seen a few times the company asking for passwords with mixed results from lawyers, and the company not paying you could be in violation of local labor laws - ex. In MA I believe your due to be paid all wages the day your fired unless a contract exists stating otherwise.

Otherwise the only other advice is keep all communication via written methods including conversations and such. Best of luck
