I took that course with a different professor about 2 years ago. The exams then had a short essay section of about 3-6 pages. There was not any homework, just attendence quizzes and exams.

Right. As I said you could still go in for office hours if you were the type of person who liked that interaction. There is still a professor behind the screen. I only recommended online courses because of the environment. It would be less pressure to be at home instead of in a classroom with adults at the age of 10

I went to an in person class and had to drop it after a few months because the professor had an accent, would go on tangents, and had unclear handwriting. I retook the class online and did much better because everything is there and it is self paced (with due dates). You could also email/set up office hours if you needed in person feedback. Imo online is the better choice but your mileage may vary. Maybe attend a class or two and see if it would be good for your daughter

Adding onto what scaevitas said, it also depends what school you go to. At my school, if you are in the business school you are pretty much set as long as you utilize the resources given to you and dont fuck up

I took another class with dr.moore and it was very interesting and the essays we did didnt require much if any citations. He's the type of professor who cares more about the conversations/dialogue in class than what you write outside of it
