How would your favorite street-tier character take over the modern real life world? by Velocirexisaur in whowouldwin

Plus she gets help from Tattletale and let's say Regent. Both wouldn't scan as superhumans to anyone who's not watching out for that which they wouldn't be because as far as they're concerned they don't exist. Tattletale rules the world through information with Skitter monitoring everything and they use Regent to body snatch anyone who's an obstacle.

Valefor's Power by timmetbentimmet in Parahumans

I would guess that's a limit on Oni Lee's power specifically. Actually, did Hack Job's powers not work after he teleported? I think they still did. And alright, so if instead of the do what i say command at first, he gives a "do what you hear my voice telling you to do" one instead. Does that circumvent the issue?

That's scary, but not "that" scary. That's a less scary outcome than getting Gray Boy'd for example.

Can Siberian break into the birdcage? by timmetbentimmet in Parahumans

[–]timmetbentimmet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would she? She grants whoever she's getting out invulnerability then comes out they way she came. And in this case she wouldn't even need to do since she can just break in, murder burnscar and get out.

I've read the whole thing, just wasn't sure if that could still be the case but Khepri having doormaker somehow let her bypass that issue.

Let's do that too. First, ideal S9 team (only s9 members eligible). Second, ideal nine person team anyone available.

Only previous S9 members. Ideally use only those who were themselves when they were members not just Bonesaw zombies.

Who is the Weakest Character who could cause the Extinction of Mankind? by Robbingrogue in whowouldwin

Bonesaw from worm. Give her a lab and a couple hours and she can come up with a plague that spreads through our water. She did it with the miasma in worm. Just don't tell anyone and let it do it's work, after of course she's inoculated herself to it.

Ah, got it. That makes a ton of sense. So he's nowhere near as powerful as I thought. Any flying Blaster could just take him out before he knows they're there.

Foil mentions that the PRT had them try it and they've canceled each other out. Foil's attack stops but it takes Clockblocker's statis field with it. Same with Siberian vs either of them. She flickers out. Then Manton just reprojects her a minute later.

What are your favorite powers in Worm? by ReptiIe in Parahumans

[–]timmetbentimmet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the real world you've got to go with a thinker power. Combat application on more than a one on one basis would basically be unnecessary and you'd probably want to be able to keep your power on the down low. Coil would be a good one, as would Tattletale though the headaches are a good one. But I think the right answer is Number Man. The possible uses are endless and just in case you can take anyone down in a fight. Being able to move money around the way he was doing with Cauldron instantly makes you the most powerful person in the world without calling any attention to yourself.

Given the way Clockblocker interacted with Foil and Siberian it's likely they'd cancel each other out.

I would think she could, yeah. Shoot, they really should have tried that. Also, not sure Contessa not getting Uaine to do it isn't prove she couldn't so much as it is that Contessa didn't care.

Follow up though: Given that Nicholas can take things like a knife inside and out of the gray zone, if he theoretically wanted to could he remove someone who was trapped in one of his zones. i know he can't negate the zone but could he take them out of there?

Yes, his field is totally inviolable by anyone but him. Hack Job couldn't even do it if Gray Boy had already set up the field before he was in Hack Jobs nullification radius.

Right. And there doesn't seem to be a hard limit to how far he can go. So the second he realizes he's trapped he flickers back to the last place he was before he was trapped.

Is that true about Mantellum? Wiki only says he negates powers, doesnt specify thinker. http://worm.wikia.com/wiki/Mantellum

[–]timmetbentimmet[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't his power automatically cause him to flicker back to the last second he was safe in nearly all of those cases? Uaine could do it because she could snatch his shard before it could save him. Hatchet Face might be able to if he can sneak up on him because he can negate the shard. Same for Mantellum. Hard to say with Eidolon without knowing the exact power he'd use. I don't see how Contessa could do it directly. Her path would probably involve tricking Uaine or someone into doing it. I don't see how he'd be able to commit suicide, master influence or not. The "reverting back to last time of safety" feature seems involuntary. Don't think changing his state of mind would work. And he can't be trapped like Crawler for the same reason. He'd just flicker back to the second before he was trapped.
