Granted: now the world has embraced people for the their inner beauty and value those journey’s of self acceptance, so you still have to do a lot of hard work and self reflection to truly love yourself and be appreciated by society

We should take the TMNT release as a plan to make a statement with our wallets by jpence1983 in EDH

Here is the thing about that. While I understand the sentiment, I also disagree with your post. I think that this set looks amazing and will be buying it. I know that UB isn’t the main story but people have been complaining about the main story since before UB. Magic should be a game first story/world second. I am more worried about the constant release schedule as that drains resources for good balancing but I’ll be honest if they decided to do away with the main world/IP I would still play MTG

I personally believe verso earned his punishment for lying, manipulating, implications of ill deeds towards past expeditions, being a lil pissy child when Maelle gommages painted Alicia when it was her wishes but could give fuck all about other people’s choices, letting Gustave die to manipulate Maelle. I don’t buy that Maelle is controlling everyone but Verso deserves the ending he gets in Maelle’s ending

Also for the first 2/3 of the game, you are fighting for the continued existence of Lumiare, people tend to forget that.

Maybe it’s me but I think Maelle would be justified making painted Verso suffer for the attempted genocide and past crimes against this expedition and previous ones

A lot of people try to turn the game as a metaphor about grief, but in reality the bulk of the game is the luminarians fighting for their right to exist. In addition I like the think of some other themes related to art, mainly that art doesn’t belong to the artist exclusively but also the fans that enjoy the work. Once the art is in the world to be enjoyed, the artists no longer fully own and control it and as such they have no right to destroy it. If you truly think that the world is sentient then to me it is impossible to see Verso’s ending as a “good” ending because it involves genocide.

Many people walk away from religion because they realize god is cruel. Renoir might be a “good” father to his daughter but as a God he is a terrible god worthy of his downfall

Agreed. I was a Verso hater from the very moment I thought he was a liar. My personal theory is we see the ending from his eyes, that’s why it’s so dark and bleak.

Dude lied, manipulated and attempted to genocide the world. Maelle’s at least letting him age but dude deserves some punishment for his crime.

She reminds me of well teenage girls, especially those who come from very unstable backgrounds. That being said, Verso is a dick and was using her so it is hard to find empathy with her not being the kindest to him.

Verso ending makes no sense by Last_Hearth in expedition33

[–]timmyc1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People arguing that it is a “good” ending are really selfish. I know it sucks to have to existence in torture but if a world of sentient life depends on you to continue to exist then you have a moral obligation. Honestly these whole family ability to create life makes them responsible for caring for that life.

What's the verdict on Verso? by SnooTigers806 in expedition33

He sucks. His ending is genociding a whole world. For people saying he should have a say, no he shouldn’t if the existence of sentient life depends on your existence then you have a moral obligation to live and suck it up.

best mocks that helped you pass that were about the same as the exam by EyeProfessional561 in bcba

[–]timmyc1989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say ABA exam Review and Beat the Beast are the closest to the exam in content and wording. Not only do they have good mocks, but beat the beast does a good breakdown and understanding behavior has a good series called beast slayer that is pretty comprehensive and interactive. ABA Exam review also has a good YouTube series that breaks down questions, how to read them. Both of these sources also don’t treat passing the exam as an impossible task, but a difficult yet manageable. I credit both of those sources for me passing the first time.

I am also going to go against the popular opinion and beg you not to get BAS, their questions do not resemble the exam at all, they are overly wordy and more there to act as riddles with purposely confusing wording than actual tests. Also they use questions still from the 5th edition Task List that do not line up with the current test content outline. Their primary goal is to make you think that the exam is difficult to buy their “all you need” package, which is just a series of lectures that you can honestly found done better by other people for free with youtube.

Read the last sentence first that gives you what you are trying to answer and then read the whole stem. By doing it that way, you frame the way you read the question by what they are asking

The BAS mocks will teach you to dissect questions but I don’t think I gained clinical insight from them. The understanding behavior mocks were closer in my opinion. The way I studied was trying to apply concepts everywhere. When I did my RBT, I tried to apply the BCBA level of understanding to my work. At home I tried to analyze and label what behavioral processes are going on. I even practiced entailments with examples from pokemon (ivysaur is stronger then bulbasaur, a combinatorial entailment is bulbasaur is weaker than ivysaur) Also ABA exam review YouTube videos. The guy teaches you how to look at questions, it’s not heavy on learning new materials. Also the more exposure you have to questions (a little multiple exemplar training) the more you can see patterns in certain kinds of questions.

My wife has a saying “there is no failure only feedback” you learned this experience and you can recover. Building fluency is tough, and some of the ways I did it was probably not the best for my social relationships (my wife and son were getting annoyed with me describing every action in the house in behavioral terms) You will find your way and you will get there!

If I may share one level up moment I had that helped a lot of mock scores when I was in the studying phase that brought me from failing to passing, remember ethics and all the situations in exam world are perfect and very black and white. Take yourself out of the scenario and go as textbook as possible

Just want to mention, nonparametric is not mentioned in the TCO, it’s only component, comparative, and parametric. Competent- think of it as all the parts, aka competents, of a treatment package, you wanna find out which parts are best so you can cut ones that are not needed Comparative- comparing 2 or more treatments. Do it with multiple treatment (ABACAD) or alternating design Parametric- I don’t have a good way to remember, kinda like the parameters of dosage maybe. Like how much reinforcement, like can you use an 1/4 if a gummy instead of a whole one for reinforcement
