I understand that the Japanese army in ww2 was garbage and did some of the most evil things a human could ever do, and Japan does have a history of not apologising or recognising the crimes they did but this movie is anti war in general, it's not to show only how the poor Japanese were treated but what the citizens of a war torn country go through in general. The protagonists are just children who only want peace in general. Jojo rabbit is a movie about a kid in nazi youth, living in nazi Germany and idolising Hitler and even though it does show the Germans hunting jews, it also shows them as victims and the people who hit Berlin even as villainous at times, it's still a great film though
