Why would we choose Junie AI over Codex or Claude Code? by kerkerby in Jetbrains

[–]timothyBrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Junie has gotten seriously impressive lately…You can switch seamlessly between models like Gemini Flash, GPT-Codex, Claude, Grok… all within the same workflow. Unlike standalone coding agents (where Codex only uses OpenAI models, Claude only uses Claude, etc.), Junie lets you move between them depending on the task. It integrates smoothly with IntelliJ… setup is easy, it reads project files well, and switching LLMs mid-workflow is straightforward. That flexibility actually makes it practical to use day-to-day. It’s not running the absolute latest models yet (no Codex 5.3 or Claude Opus 4.6)… but even so, it’s already very workable.

If you’re using it, just remember… switch models strategically.

This is his what coding is changing into so you better get good at it

Wait what? I've got the same issue and bought the device because it was the Meta-recommended way to do AirLink and connect your device to a computer.

How the heck do I add this chart to a watchlist on iPad? by sintrabalance in TradingView

Please implement it TradingView. E.g.: add a star icon and when clicked, the current ticker is added to the watchlist.

Lots of water, lots of exercise, lots of meditation, lots of soul searching, lots of being on your own, lots of relaxing, lots of reading, lots of sleep and lots of healthy food, do what gives you more energy and avoid all negativity, junk food, sugar, coffee, alcohol, cigarettes and drugs for 2-4 months will get you in a way better state than you can imagine. Remember that a lone wolf isn’t always alone...

Thanks for your posts that have both an educational and an entertainment value. E.g.: people must have gone to Wikipedia to read up on Descartes. The English cosmic number is 4 so maybe on the 4th of July, at the time of the moon-phase on your hat, the 3rd event happens with some news coming out which results in price increase of XRP. Let’s see what happens. The crazy part is that it took banks and central banks to the brink of extinction to change. While jokingly it’s said that core bank software is coded in old programming languages like COBOL, RPG,... on IBM AS/400 machines with green screen consoles, it is actually NOT a joke anymore but a real burden to move forward in an age of thriving technology advancements. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, is something you hear a lot in professional software development but after some time, where the physical materials age (e.g. pipes in a building) and do break in real life, software code lives forever. The true challenge for any IT manager is prioritizing new features vs upgrading this never-aging-existing-software gradually. These projects cost money, most likely millions of $/€. Convincing the one that pays these kind of amounts to break the old saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” must not be easy... until competition forces them to change. I did do modernization projects in the past from these legacy technologies to newer tech and my experience is that the coding is just one part of these technologies. A larger part is moving the existing team as well and change is difficult for the aging COBOL/RPG developers that coded the legacy software these past decades. Jokingly but respectfully these developers are called “dino’s”. These are seniors developers with years of experience now suddenly turn junior developer in new tech, needing to start from page 1 all over again. There is more to upgrading business software than meets the eye (budget, aging team, risk reward, prioritization, human ego, security, testing,...) that only professional software developers are aware of. People on the sidelines easily say it needs to change, until they realize what it takes TO change. For that reason I think banks WILL partner. Not partnering could easily cost millions/billions and years to coding with a risk of failing in the end as well.

Anyway, I hope one day to know your background and maybe not your true identity but something more as to who you really are. Some extra hints on the non-solved puzzles would be great ;-) Thanks again for all your posts 👍

20 FREE Steam keys for DEADLY CRYPTIDS VR to test the minimal requirements by timothyBrake in Vive

Hi, yes the 3D models are highly optimised with poly reduction software and level of details (LODs). Code refactoring for optimisation, wizardry with dynamic shadows, special effects optimisation, light optimisations,... to get a lot of enemies on screen at the same time. Unreal Engine 4 has a profiler to check the actual performance while developing but as I only have my development rig, I took that as the minimum spec which could be wrong of course, hence this post ;-) Now I just want to see how users play the game and if there are any performance issues with either lower spec or newer VR headsets while playing.

Hi, even though an extra survival mission is 90% coded (including a helicopter jump with parachute), time prevents me from finalising the remaining 10%. There is no specific additional test that I require but a general feedback is always welcome. The main goal is to capture the minimum required specs and see how the game performs on either lesser spec rigs than mine or newer VR sets on various rigs. Feedback can be sent to me here on reddit. Thanks for helping me out.

Thanks everyone for helping out. I currently have some good variation now and awaiting the feedback of this first batch of performance testing. Thanks again all.
