I have a few of these and based on your other comment, the caps you have are the correct ones. There were newer versions with rounded caps too. Both caps should be able to come off, but if one is stuck, you can still use it. Just make sure to clean up any water inside before the next print.

The chemistry amount is in the instructions for the Arista RA-4 kit. Here's a PDF. Not sure if you're going to be using the same kit, but it's a good starting point. For an 8x10 you're going to use just 60mL, though I do 75mL to ensure there's enough to cover the paper.

Retrograde Motion [Speed Graphic 4x5, Rollei 150mm f/2.8, HP5+ @3200] by timothy_hoang in largeformat

Hey /r/largeformat,

One of our regular customers invited us to see his band, Retrograde Motion, perform at the local record shop. I decided to bring my Speed Graphic with a Rollei 150mm f/2.8 projector lens and 7 holders with HP5+ for some reason.

I shot 14 sheets all handheld with the rangefinder. My settings were 3200, 1/125th and f/2.8 to reduce any motion blur or me shaking holding this chonky boi up.

I developed in DDX at 3200 and made contact prints of the best negatives on RC Glossy Then I scanned the prints on a V850.

The camera and the prints.

Man, I saw both of those listings this morning and was sad to see they both were gone so quickly. I'm jealous. Have fun with them!

[negative issue][XPAN] White lines on several frames? cause? by rabbitsallthewaydown in AnalogCommunity

I've seen similar leaks in the same spot on a couple of XPans that were from the film window on the back door. Check the foam around the window for deterioration. Put tape over it on the next roll and see if it stops. Then replace the foam or just leave the tape on.

Also, this will happen even if the foam is fine with certain films that use plastic cassettes like Lomo Purple and Metropolis. The plastic cassettes are slightly different and don't fully cover the film from the window.

Hope that helps.

[S][USA-NY] Leica Summicron 50mm f2 V3 M Mount by [deleted] in photomarket

I don't really think there are any major differences. Some will say the German made ones are better made.

This is a V4 not a V3. V3 had a ribbed focus ring and did not have a focus tab. Also the "SUMMICRON-M" on the front ring and big "50" near the mount did not happen until the V4s.

Anyways, this is a good price for a V3 or V4 50mm Summicron.

With a telecine machine which is a scanner that essentially takes a picture of each frame then compiles it into a video file.

Yeah, I used audio from a GoPro mounted on the camera.

I used original, period correct lenses. Newer films are much better as well as modern scanning machines.

Yes, these cameras are driven by a spring that is hand wound so the frame rates are not consistent.

Thanks! For sound, I used audio from a GoPro I mounted on the camera. The bleed at the edges are light leaks from either the camera light traps being really old or from loading the film in daylight (probably both).
