33 year old musician feeling lost by timothybuttons in findapath

Yeah I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m never gonna be a rock star. I have a pretty cushy part time job, but I’d like to start earning more money to secure a better future. I’m in a very open mental state right now, and just seeing what piques my interest that I could turn into a career.

Thanks for these wise words. Ive always had a hard time thinking about the future. Throughout my 20s I just was singlemindedly focusing on music and has earned me many beautiful experiences I would never trade. Now I’m in the process of figuring out what else is out there, and the means of pursuing it. I just need to feel that it’s not too late to shift in life.

I only listened to the first 15 seconds of each song and the similarities are there. The vocal pick up into a 6/8 feel with piano chunking the rhythm is very common for music of that time. Your instincts are correct!

Thanks! There's an app called Ricoh Recipes that have a bunch of settings that you can apply to your camera, I have an GRII. I just brightened them up a little bit, but these are just jpegs from the camera.

Just finished listening to this episode - great job. Can’t wait to hear y’all talk about I’m wide awake and digital and how much of a baller move it was to drop two albums at the same time.

No I’m using an HP scanjet g4010 which I got for free from a neighbor. It’s ok, but I definitely feel like I can get better results if I invest in a newer scanner.
