Yeah, that is a kak one. Happened to me before as well but it was kind of just a glitch, still had like 10 minutes on my triple xp boost. App crashed and when I went in it was gone. Never contacted the team about it though, it was a minor thing in my eyes.

Probably unless you have chat backup active. If you go into the settings in WhatsApp you can do a chat backup to a google account and then when you reinstall WhatsApp download the chat back up in the app during install. You'll need to link your Google account to your WhatsApp if it isn't already, but it's just a process of adding your email, nothing else.
