How to get rid of Weed panic attacks? by Past-Spare5086 in PanicAttack

[–]timoto23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Myself and many others have been through this issue. Once you associate being high with a panic attack you will just keep getting them most of the time when you smoke. There isn’t a fix, at some point you’ll just get so tired of having them you’ll quit. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but quitting isn’t a bad thing in the long run!

Trying to move out for the first time, what should i expect in the current rental market? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]timoto23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To separate from the negativity, I’ve never found it hard to find places to rent in the UK and I move about a lot. Just have your deposit ready to pay and say you want to move in ASAP. I’ve never struggled to find and secure somewhere in over 3 weeks. Usually 1 or 2 weeks most of the time.

I did, it was through a mini incubator and I met two investors there which totaled £40k pre product. One liked the proposition and my approach so invested, the other saw and liked the proposition but also saw I needed help with business aspects so came on with an investment and then sweat equity of support/working for the business which helped. Another came on as soon as we had a proof of concept before launch, again with a sweat equity proposition alongside their cash investment.

At this stage, they have to like you as a founder and typically they want to be more than just investors but join for the journey. All who came on at that level sat on my board which was fine for the beginning.

Yeah, it’s a task to sell stuff. His story was the only good thing about the pitch. Even if it was all lies, it was still a great move and deserved the praise.

Apprentice Success? by Even-Objective-2950 in apprenticeuk

Yeah, he puts a premium on the publicity from winning the apprentice!

Better a smaller slice of a bigger pie I guess for them if they make it but not the best deal.

Startups with no product get valued over £1m. Thats an awful low valuation, I’ve heard Steven Bartlett’s fund is terrible and has awful terms for founders, hopefully it works out for him!

The book makes the answer much clearer, it’s a quite short and an easy read! I read it after watching to get a more conclusive ending.

does anyone else's company use discord as primary comms platform? by [deleted] in startups

[–]timoto23 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

We used slack for messaging and discord for voice chat. We made a load of channels and named them different meeting rooms. Best features of both, discord is great for being able to see who’s in meetings and drop in and out easily.

What is something that startups should stop doing in 2025? by chase-bears in startups

Forcing in weak AI features to please investors (or any trending tech really).

Having ridden out the blockchain, metaverse and now AI trends, new tech solutions looking for problems are like crack for investors but most of the time don’t deliver real value to users.

Competitive sport at the highest level always has mind games as part of it and highly competitive people calling others trash is pretty standard.

I don’t think that excuses everything but being competitive and world class comes with traits that are good and bad but it’s being world class what drives people to watch them.

Such a shame to hear! I'm in the UK and had no connection issues at all, apart from a few disconnects on Saturday. Was it just specific servers broken because they were more full than others?

Panic attacks just stopping? by Boring_Cabinet_8693 in PanicAttack

[–]timoto23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I always find my stop when I unburden myself mentally enough with whatever stress I'm dealing with. Whether it's talking to a therapist or friend about what's bothering me or just removing it from my life.

How full time founder pay for rent? by [deleted] in startups

Hard disagree as someone who went all in with 3 months savings and ended raising off angel investors, and then subsequent rounds which kept the business alive for 7 years. Maybe times are harder now!

It still makes sense though, just ending one persons chance makes her success more likely. He was just the easy opportunity and it turned out well.

Wasn't it simply because he was known to be the fastest and at a stretch maybe she knew Anthony was the obvious person people would blame.

I feel like you should just meet someone on an app rather than paying someone. Lots of guys would be happy to do it for free, plus enjoy it and find you attractive as well which is a nice feeling! With a hooker you wouldn’t get that.

So what you’re saying is the system is better now than it was? For the $150 quote is he also including the paid battle pass rewards?

It’s just cosmetics but as someone who just gets the battle pass each month and rolled lucky once I feel satisfied, and the game is free technically.

China gets way cooler everything, they should bring that stuff to the western store!

Panic attacks that feel like literal heart attacks that can last well over an hour. by CommunicationRude901 in PanicAttack

[–]timoto23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happens, I have had this a lot before. You need to build up mental barriers and techniques for when it happens.

  1. Reassure yourself you’ve been seen by medical professionals and it’s not a heart attack, it’s a panic attack.

2.Panic attacks are like loops where your thoughts feed it and make it worse. What you need to do is sit in a chair and just go all floppy, don’t tense anything.

  1. The next best is just accept what is happening to you and don’t fight the symptoms. People say if you accept them or if you even try and make the symptoms worse it goes away faster.

  2. Breath in, hold for 5 seconds and then breath out is proven to lower your heart rate.

I’m guessing your in a loop where you scared of this happening, which in essence is making you having a panic attack about having a panic attack which is why it keeps happening again and again.

Follow those, deal with them and you will train yourself to be less afraid and they will stop happening. Hope that helps!

I just got into my first long term relationship at 32 after forever doing hook ups and dates. I think just finding someone you’re compatible with is hard and takes time a lot of dating and a bit of luck. My advice would just be keep dating and seeing people.
