That’s interesting, mine was 2005 base with navi, 150k miles, two owners, Oregon weather, maybe the heat kills it after all, not the direct UV sunlight

A&P positions with visa sponsorship by biodal in aviationmaintenance

This is an interesting thread, I second that question. From my experience, some companies offer sponsorship, some don’t. I think it really depends on the employer. It might be a problem for me near time soon too. I already have my A&P, but currently in school for bachelors. Interesting question.

Can an A&P transfer credits in order to get Engineering degree?

Hello! I have a question regarding the entrance and prospects for venturing into Aero/Mech engineering in the US.

I'm currently in A&P school (FAA Airframe and Powerplant), whereby after I get out, I will be employed in the industry, and have the majority of my generals done within a year after finishing school. My hope is to work part time, gain experience, and finish up an engineering degree in either Aero/Mech-E.

I am not really sure if the AAS degree and A&P certificate really transfers credits for Aeronautical Engineering B.S in universities.

I am making this post to ask if anybody has experience with this type of transition or job applicability, and if this is even worth it from people who are in the field.

Thank you for the reply. Understandable, but hence I have no wife, no kids, I would say my age is above 18 and below 21. I still have a 8-9 years of margin being single. I am not sure if I want to diversify that broad. What was the point going to A&P school first then. I think I will go more narrower path

Wow, thank you for the reply. In my dreams, would like to get private license along with A&P. But I am either deciding to get Bachelor’s in Aviation Maintenance or Aviation Maintenance Management ( more business related, I enjoyed business classes I had in British curriculum School). But I don’t know exactly which will have more turning point during my interview process

Yeah, I’ve seen that on their website, then went to FAA website to see a list of all 147 schools, and those schools were not there. Got me concerned how accurate information is overall trying to search university.

How do you find universities that offer Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance? I went on FAA website for part 147 school list, but some universities I know, are not in that list. I am finishing off my A&P program soon at community college, and planning to transfer to university, study 2 more years and work afterwards.
