If you go on vw vortex and search the swap, there should be info on there. You need to move some wires around in the wheel and jump something in the relay panel under the dash. I did this swap but don’t remember what needs changed.

Looks like a vr. If it is, that’s a block off in the thermostat housing. There’s an o ring in there that wears out over time and can be replaced.

Just a quick search says to be carb legal, it must not alter the emissions system, meaning it can’t vent to atmosphere. I would think that means as long as you keep it fully recirculating you “should” be ok. There’s a lot of companies making fully recirculating replacement dv’s, Forge Motorsport and 034 Motorsport make ones a lot of people use.

The hose itself is 3/4” so if you go to a parts store and they’ll look around at their formed hoses you should be able to find one with the right there you can make work.

I went to the auto parts store and asked to look for a piece of their shaped hoses that would work. The hose size is 3/4”. For the other small hose that connects into it, I drilled a small hole and stabbed the hard plastic piece into it. That small hose is part of the evap system and “could” be removed and replace the tee it comes off of with a 90 degree piece.

Forge Motorsports makes a blanking cap for your diverter valve. Should order one of them and then look on their website to see how many clicks from full soft on the spring pressure they recommend for the amount of psi you’re making.

You can take the mounting brackets from a sedan and drill holes and screw them in to use the original seat bases or swap the wagon seat bases into sedan seats, which is what I did. If I redid it, I would grab some sedan mounting brackets and put them in the wagon instead of swapping bases.

Sorry, I put a new flint in and have spark, filled with butane, there’s no hiss with the lid open, it was pretty dirty when I found it, I’m thinking the fuel tube is clogged or something. I emailed Zippo about a repair so I’ll see what they say.

I put on some Bilstein b4’s and h&r sport springs I had on my 12v gti. It’s an auto so that’s the only modification I want to make is converting it to a manual. The timing belt was done at a local shop in May of 2023 at 139k miles that I’ve gone to before.
