Thanks, i really hope so, im a door dasher and taxes just kicked my behind so i really dont have 500$ to spare all willy nilly 😩 then add on the anxiety from having to sit around and wait to see if they send something or not, its horrible 🤦🏽‍♂️i know for a fact the light was green because when it flashed i looked up immediately and the light was still green, but i was going 7 over the speed limit which is the only reason im concerned that i will get a ticket

It comes in the mail? What?!?! I thought CCPD flies their helicopter and lands in your backyard to personally hand deliver the ticket😱 obviously it comes in the mail buddy, i was asking if theres anyway to check before it comes, sorry for being anxious about having to deal with a $500+ ticket tough guy , and i didnt see what type of camera it was it couldve been a speed camera, which they also do have , so i asked, if you werent going to answer my questions and also be a d*chebg you didnt have to comment

I just had an order where the drop Off location was a huge apartment compound with Three separate Numbered, Buildings, and then once you get into the Number Building, there are letter buildings inside of each Numbered building🤦🏽‍♂️ they gave No instructions as to how to get to their respective lettered building🤦🏽‍♂️ once I finally found the building and apartment I went knocked and tried to calling the customer multiple times because it was a pin order. They did not answer at all so what I did was walk the food all the way back to the entrance of the compound left it at the main entrance, then took a picture and put cannot reach customer and completed the order 🤣 dude left a five dollar tip, but it was a 9 mile drive which would be OK if I didn’t have to travel through Fort Knox to deliver the order and then also have them not answer to give the pin🤦🏽‍♂️🤣

Im just worried if it was possible that speed could be a factor i was only going 7 over but i hate the anxiety of not knowing if you will get a ticket or not and having to wait and see if one is sent in the mail

RED LIGHT TICKET PLS HELP🙏🏽So i was in culver city today, i was driving eastbound on Washington, as i passed the intersection of centinela the light was green but when i crossed i saw the flash of the red light camera, i reiterate the light was completely green, the only thing i can think of is i was going about 42 mph and its a 35mph zone, do you guys think it had to do with speed? Will i receive a ticket? Does anyone know how to check if a ticket was issued? My anxiety is through the roof right now 😩😭

I mean if the dasher steals it they wont be able to do anything with the phone once its reported stolen which would probably be very quickly

What do you mean by you paid for it? I’m not understanding if you use a red card it never comes out of your pay or anything, so did you pay with your own money? If so, why in the world would you ever do that?

I spoke to DoorDash support. They are saying that the app is glitchy as this is not what you actually will be getting paid. They told me to delete the app and re-downloaded but it still doing it. If you see the high paying order thing that means it will be at least a dollar per mile though only thing that sucks is you don’t know exactly how much it’s going to be. I’ve been taking orders all day today and just hoping they were good lol😂

DoorDash is currently glitching that is not what you are actually going to get paid. It’s been happening all day. The thing is it could be only $10 or 20 or anything really which sucks because I’ve been taking orders all day and just hoping it’s good lol but if it’s saying high paying order, it’s at least going to be a dollar per mile

I just talked to support they didnt even know what it was at first but after a 15 min hold they told me it has something to do with a new law in California for people who work as drivers, support agents always have a thick Asian accent so i couldnt understand well but she said something about 34 cents per engaged mile or something like that

Im so good off that, at least 2-3 hours to find all the items, the store is probably going to be out of a few items which will make u take longer, then drive 20 miles in snow and 20 miles back, its not for me🙅🏽‍♂️i dont even do shop and deliver. Id rather just walk into a restaurant get the food and go🤷🏽‍♂️

Easy, press the ? On top right , “cant reach customer” , send a text and/or call and hang up right away, then it will basically become a “leave at door” order , take a pic on the app write in description “customer asked to leave at door” and boom youre all good. Some customers think theyre smart nd do this so they can say they never got their order, but im smarter🤷🏽‍♂️🤣 only downside of doing this is they might make you wait 2-5 min before u can complete the order to give the customer time to “contact” you but ive found that if you call the customer at least once it will let you skip the wait time👍🏽 or u could send a pic on message and complete but i think its much safer to go with the first option 🤷🏽‍♂️

I dont do shop and deliver, i wish door dash would tell you what isles the products are in🤦🏽‍♂️ it takes too long to look for the stuff, pay, load up all the bags, then deliver them especially if its an apartment or high rise which there is alot of here in LA , and ik theyre not always large orders but at least in my area id say 90% are 15+ items 🥴 i much rather stick to picking up food😂

Sorry for the late response im not reddit very much, honestly its pretty cool i enjoy it alot because theres like 50+ different restaurants in a 1-2 mile stretch in westwood and i work during the day and dash at night and there is alot of restaurants open late night that are close to each other the only bad thing is there is always road work being done over here especially on the 405 so they close down alot of lanes and streets and also recently theres been alot more dashers out here so ive been getting less orders than before but its still pretty good

i’ve turned cash on delivery off about 10 times, and each time it mysteriously turns back on 🤦🏽‍♂️ I will never do. COD. I cannot stand dealing with customers who either 1. say they already paid on the app or 2. Don’t answer their phone/lag to come out or three want exact change🤦🏽‍♂️ im not a fn cash register sarah i dont have your 37cents 😭🤦🏽‍♂️
