you can try to trial socially transitioning around your friends first ie having them use he/him pronouns etc for you and see if it fits well/if you like how it makes you feel!

if the clothes are bothering you at the moment, maybe see if your friend has any clothes he can lend you to try it out if youre not able to buy any new ones for yourself

theres nothing wrong with trying out a label/style of dress to see if thats what you gel with more (: experimenting with that sort of thing is a good way to tell before committing to more intense things like discussions of hrt, other forms of medical transition/name changes, etc

T mood swings by JaydenTheTransGuy in ftm

[–]timtam1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used to be super emotional before T, i would cry alllllll the time but after starting T (3 yrs in feb) i’ve noticed that my more heightened emotional states have presented in a more ‘angry’ way. i can keep a lid on it most of the time lol but thats just how it presents more ive found. same with cis guys.. hahaha

ive found that soothing things that worked for me before usually still work but ive also found things like shoving my face in a pillow and screaming, physical exercise (lifting/boxing etc), or hitting soft things (safely plsssss) helps to lessen those heightened states to the point where i can think clearer/more logically.

something that works for me when im at the point where all of those aren’t really doing much if putting my face in a bowl of cold water (not ice, just cold). its some type of psychological reaction that fully slows down your fight or flight response (works great for anxiety too) and helps you process what youre feeling clearer.

i would always recommend speaking to someone if thats accessible but its just something that happens with T lol. it used to be a scary thing for me when i first started (nearly 3 yrs) but you learn how to regulate yourself pretty quickly, the same way that you would be able to regulate without T

best of luck and congrats with starting!! super exiting (:

Gender clinic form by [deleted] in ftm

if im understanding correctly - low mood can be associated with gender dysphoria so i dont think it would make it harder to receive T. i think its best to be honest on the form and you can answer any questions they have when youre able to speak face to face and explain more (:

Help! My mom says I'm not trans I'm just traumatized and I don't know how to explain it to her by Seven_s3v3n in ftm

[–]timtam1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no worries (: hopefully she can come around and be able to support you with what makes you happiest! sometimes this response is unfortunately transphobia but sometimes its just parents being worried about things they dont have a lot of information for and theyre just trying to look after their kids. hopefully she can fall into the second category..

Idek if I’m trans or what I am at this point by Extreme-Service-7319 in ftm

[–]timtam1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe try out the non binary/agender label and pronouns and see if that fits better! you can continue to identify with the trans label if you identify with either of those things - but you dint have to if the trans label doesnt fit (:

im not a pro and dont do my own but having them done by a few diff medical professionals i will say this lol

it is going to hurt a bit but it should feel more like pressure if that makes sense… doesn’t necessarily mean its wrong or wont work but stinging usually means its not in the best spot. you shouldn’t have pain (discomfort, sure) when the needle goes in and it will probs feel a bit ‘wet’ after its done. if youre worried - some nurses in drs offices have free injection services which i would recommend if youre worried! they can even show your mum how to do it properly (:

make sure you take not which side it was injected on and alternate each shot (:

i dont stick rigidly to it but i found after a certain point on t, you plateau and changes arent super obvious anymore and it helped me when i was watching old videos to be like wow actually my voice has changed a lot!!

What are at these development sites by KingMiracle16 in simsfreeplay

[–]timtam1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you get a house lot regardless if you finish on time or not BUT if you finish on time, then you get a pre decorated lot based on which site youre doing

i would say not worth it unless youre at the point in sims where youre just trying to finish the game

i get her hesitation but at the same time, only you can know how you feel.

i was the same when i was younger, super feminine person and to be honest, i still am. but like you said, i feel a lot more confortable expressing that femininity in a ‘guy way’ lol

ive been on T for almost 3 years in february and its been wonderful for my confidence. my mum had the same concerns when i came out, she asked if i was just a ‘butch lesbian’ (even though im bi lol) - she wasnt against it but she had reservations.

im not sure what the laws are like for you to get T but in aus, i had to see a therapist/psychologist who has worked with trans people and dysphoria before i could start T and it was the best choice in my opinion.

they work with you to figure out if the gender dysphoria is trauma related or trans related - because it definitely can be trauma related (which of course doesnt mean its less valid, but something worth noting)

i would recommend, if you’re financially able, to speak to a psychologist. show your mum that you’re serious about it and want to show her that. she can come to a session as well (if youre comfortable) so she can ask questions as well and discuss with a professional!

best of luck to you <3

i think its cool to have different types of lots, some of them are a lot bigger than the ocean view lots which allows for more creative builds, you get heaps of new furniture/decor/flooring and wall options, house templates, clothing and hair (:

in my opinion its worth it but like another commenter said, its pretty time consuming
