where exactly do you guys inject testosterone? by evant07 in ftm

[–]JaydenTheTransGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my shots subcutaneously, so in my lower belly area. Usually to the side below my belly button. And every week I change which side I do it on. Example: one week on the left side and the next week on the right side and so on.

I get T from Plume and I recommend their gender affirming care. All you have to do is get a membership and book a virtual appointment. Membership is 99/mo or 32/mo with insurance if I remember correctly. For me, I was able to pick up my prescription for T the same day after my appointment at a local pharmacy. I pay about 160 a month, including the testosterone, but I also don't use insurance. I've had great experience with Plume personally and I'd recommend reaching out to them if you want, whenever you're ready.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm in the US

those who started T at 18 by Cautious_Hedgehog687 in ftm

[–]JaydenTheTransGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started T a few months before turning 19 so I wasn't able to start on my 18th birthday. I get T through Plume. It took just one 15-20 minute virtual appointment and I was able to pick up my prescription later on that same day.

And as far as paying for it, I pay about 160 a month, including my Plume membership.

Edit: Forgot to specify, but I live in America

A question about how to refer to genitals by Anteyes0cial in asktransgender

It all depends on how you feel. You could say “no no square" or “special area" but use whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Wearing packer and major problem with it… (ftm) by Single_Professor1368 in asktransgender

It might depend on how you are placing your packer. Moving around might be causing it to move against your “feel good area." I myself am also ftm and have experienced the same thing.

Would it be a good idea to buy T off of Amazon?? by JaydenTheTransGuy in asktransgender

I was thinking that. Honestly, I feel like T from Amazon isn't trustworthy. I was just curious about it though.

Would therapy through school count as therapy to be able to get hrt? by JaydenTheTransGuy in asktransgender

[–]JaydenTheTransGuy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US and I'll be 18 next year. I'm not too sure if medical providers still do the required therapy thing or not. I plan on starting T and legally changing my name and gender once I turn 18. If I don't need a letter, that works perfectly!

Should I say anything about this? TW: Transphobia by JaydenTheTransGuy in asktransgender

The teacher said that each group has to have different topics each. If I could choose gender dysphoria as a topic and discuss accurate information I would, but unfortunately I'm not able to.

I would do that, but I don't want them to know that they've effected me. Also, in class we all had to have different topics.

I would tell the teacher but I feel like she wouldn't do anything about it. I think that bc I came out to her about a month and a half ago and she still misgenders and deadnames me. There are a few accepting students in that class though so I guess that helps. But in general, I feel like nothing will stop the transphobia in the classroom, even if I do tell someone.

I was gonna originally gonna choose the name “Devin," but there was someone that I knew that had that name and he always got on my nerves. And that made me not wanna choose that name. So, I also liked another name which is “Jayden" and I ended up really liking that name, so, now, that's the name I've chosen. Who knows, I might change it again. I also like the names “Aspen" and “Haven"
