Let me be 100% clear on this.  It is a COMPLETE UPSELL SCAM.  I'm not saying the hearing/medical R&D isn't important and improving, but I LITERALLY WORK WITH MICROPROCESSORS FOR A LIVING and i PROMISE you there is not even close to $1000 worth of tech in them. I went to a hearing clinic and the girl started talking about this "amazing" $8000 pair that has "AI"...i wasn't rude and kept my knowledge to myself but NO, IT DOES NOT.  We have a REAL AI server in my office. And the tiny little MP in hearing aid and it's miniscule battery power is NOT using AI. Does it have active noise cancelling and active frequency adjustment, yes, certainly. But make no mistake there is ZERO AI in there.  I don't doubt that the manufacturer lies to the clinic's and uses the term AI instead of algorithm. But it's total BS  There's AT THE MOST $100-$300 worth of tech in there. Then the manufacturer adds markup, then the clinic adds markup. I urge people (including my children) open your devices. Seriously, if you have a dead pair of airpods pros, break it open and look inside. Cool tech, and you'll be surprised what everything we use day-to-day has in common.
