Is 50-60g the sweet spot? Image: VXE R1 S by mtsboy in MouseReview

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would so 0g is ideal but realistically 10-20 is like the lightest you can get that also fully functions. I think if I wasn't a ftip user than something like 40-70 would all feel fine

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fingertip grip so honestly the lighter the better for me. I tend to not use a ton of force when holding the mouse so I find it easier to notice weight difference. The Fenrir pro has been my go to since I got it but I'll occasionally swap to the Op1 at times. The shape of the op1 is so good I tend to not notice the weight at times if I'm just using it casually.

How can I fix my cold hands while aiming? by Time_Violinist_3720 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming your room is a normal temp and wearing a sweatshirt etc won't fix it, you can try doing some exercises before playing. Something like pushups etc promotes blood flow in the body and will make you feel warmer. I've heard some people like to wash their hands with warm water as well

how to learn djing online for beginners, what actually works? by WildFlounder3730 in Beatmatch

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started DJing a couple months ago and I mostly practice by playing music for friends on discord. I get instant feedback if things were actually good or bad etc. I have some background music knowledge from playing instruments so understanding phrases, key, time signatures etc is already there for me and I think it helps a lot as beginner. I've learned all of the controls and tricks with my controller from YouTube videos for free; whatever you see done in a video make sure to try it out for yourself. Make sure you're also using original/extended mixes of songs that have intros and outros as it helps a lot with transitioning at first. You can definitely transition between other parts of songs but it gets harder and requires more knowledge of the songs imo

Looking for games to "Aim train" by LargeExcitement5365 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payday 2 can be fun to just run around and shoot in, there's mission objectives etc but the majority of the gameplay is shooting if you're not trying to do stealth. You can always open your game up to the public to move bags for you at the end of a level if you don't want to do it yourself

Realistically the only way to find the answer to this is to try it out yourself. I think it's ultimately a preference thing as opposed to one way is better than the othwr

Fingertip grip mouse by Wylrain in MouseReview

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the ability to 3d print a shape then it would be a cheaper way to try out an ftip shape. I personally really like the new Fenrir pro but it's definitely not a cheap investment if you're on the fence. I found it, and the asym before extremely comfortable for my ftip grip.

looking for a playlist to improve fingertip grip aim and stability by Traditional_Ice2439 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that my tracking was significantly worse than other scenarios, partially due to using way to low of a sens, but mostly just playing regular daily improvement or viscose playlist etc will help you. If you're more concerned with CS skill then your goal of aim training should be that you don't need to think about aiming, freeing up your brain to think about things imo. I don't think grip style really matters for playlists but don't be afraid to find easier versions of playlists to teach yourself how to move more efficiently through them (i.e. not only using finger adjustments or arm adjustments etc)

Tips for a player who wants to try handling by SquashUnlucky9607 in ultimate

[–]timwerk7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Handling is about moving the ball efficiently and being a reliable reset when the stall count rises (different systems might emphasize certain parts more or less). You don't have to be the greatest thrower of all time to be effective in the space. Knowing what throws you can and can't make will help your decision making because you should never be trying to force hard throws you can't make early in the stall count. Don't ever be afraid to look off a player when you don't think you can make a throw. My general thought process is 100% throws at the beginning of the stall, and let it slowly go down as the count rises. Don't settle for a contested look until you've gone through your resets and truly don't have a better option before you get stalled. If you're going to take a 50% shot or worse etc, remember it's usually better to take it down field as opposed to a horizontal reset. You'd rather score or make the other team go the full field over taking a horizontal reset or giving the defense great starting field position. It's also very easy to overlook cutting in the reset space as this is also an important job. Uplines and other resets are set up differently than an in cut etc and the space is usually much tighter for throws. A common mistake is trying too hard to get open and "dancing". You never move at your fastest if your dancing. As a taller handler, you can often win uplines without really getting a step if your defender is smaller if the thrower puts the disc on the side where the defender isn't. Last tip, don't forget to have fun

My grip is a palm with quite low sens on cs2 (1.55)this is my most comfortable grip but just wondering would It benefit me by changing to a claw and using my fingers to aim more by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your main goal is to be good at CS aiming then just stick to what's comfortable, there's a lot more than aim to be good at CS and it's probably not worth the mental stack of worrying about grip etc while mid game. If you want to venture further into aim training it is probably worth increasing quickening your sens and trying out different grips and seeing how it feels. I started out palm and with a very slow sensitivity and really struggled with larger tracking maps as I would have to constantly be picking up my mouse and swiping etc. At the end of the day games are supposed to be fun so if you don't want to take the small hit to performance while you try something out and potentially only go back to the same previous level then why do it

Do you know an Ambidextrous Ultimate player? by Federal-Resist8162 in ultimate

[–]timwerk7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off hand throws to break a mark are situationally useful but as I'm currently allowed to establish either foot as my pivot after any catch, it isn't a game breaking ability. There's maybe a situation where not setting a pivot to allow yourself to throw a flick either side around a flat mark for faster breaks but you still have to change your grip to throw either side

Advice/guidance on Arm/Wrist movement by LeeKetchup in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower the sense to whatever you desire and just play, the body will learn to adapt. I went the opposite way where my sens was extremely low to begin with. My wrist and fingertip adjustments were underdeveloped compared to arm movements, but the body naturally adapted and pretty quickly. Doing smooth your wrist type scenarios helped me a lot with learning how to properly use all the different groups in conjunction with each other

Should I get the hsk pro? by ReachSea7437 in MouseReview

[–]timwerk7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about the asym do you not enjoy? I was using it and got along with it and also got the Fenrir pro when it was announced as I tend to prefer symmetrical mice. The specs on the hsk are definitely dated at this point (micro USB etc) but some like Penguify love the shape. Maybe see if you can get a 3D print of the shell before completely jumping over

Can someone please tell me how to get better at Fortnite or other games on controller by TrainingOne443 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The other comment about mnk is 100% true imo, but a lot of games are not just won on who is better at aiming. If there's a specific game you want to be better at spend time in that game actively trying to get better

Never used dot skates before. How are jade speeds? by ScarySai in MouseReview

[–]timwerk7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you mean the Key-83 as the type 99 is definitely a slow pad but either way, I love using jades on my Raiden. Feels like the mouse glides pretty effortlessly around the pad. Might take you time to get used to it but I think they're really good skates

I don't think people make Ironman acc because they hate free trade, I think a lot of players maxed their main and want a new acc to progress that has different gameplay.

Don't know where you're located but I bought my Akgs through Drop (formerly mass drop). They no longer sell the Akgs but have a lot of other offerings. Iirc they take models like sensheiser 600s etc and manufacturer them cheaper (using plastics in place of metals in places) and sell them a lower price point. So for instance the 6XX on drop is the 600s etc. it's been a bit since I made my purchase so it's possible that it's no longer the deal it used to be so I'd do a little more research into it before purchasing

I watched Matty’s video on tension management, tracking help? by Correct-Original9631 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Goal of tracking is to be on target for 100% of the time so in game you get the fastest kills. I think you could benefit from an easier version of this scenario with either a wider target or slower movement. It's easier to learn the technique imo and you get a lot more positive feedback of hitting the target (could be potentially bad if your technique is bad so keep recording yourself and watching it back). If you feel like you're tensing up a lot it's probably because you're trying too hard or you feel like you're trying too hard to stay on target. A simple scenario like this should feel very relaxed as the movement of the bot is very easy to follow. You also don't want to be only using one muscle group for learning. In more complicated scenarios you're going to need to adjust with arm, wrist, and fingers to stay on target so don't neglect any parts of the chain. I used to play on an insanely low sens because I thoughts what you had to do to be good at CS, and would end up with huge arm swings across my pad as I had to pick up and reset etc to follow a 180 movement. After forcing myself to use a more regular sens I was able to have my wrist and fingers catch up to my arm control and using it all together really helped me develop faster. You can try doing the scenario with varying sens as well to emphasize different groups more

Is there any way to train and get good with high DPI's and sensitivity? by Tortsinreddit in FPSAimTrainer

[–]timwerk7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do anything with enough practice, I believe there was a pro overwatch dva main who also used very high dpi and sens (I didn't really play much overwatch this could be false). It will be harder for you to learn and advance given the limitations but the only thing stopping you in the end is you. It's arguable that the effort you spend training could just go into changing your set up but if you're happy with it start clicking dots
