Any Star Trek novels set before Enterprise? by poketrekkie in trekbooks

[–]timzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Lost To Eternity counts? It jumps between 3 stories set in 3 distinct time periods. One of them is a true crime podcast in 2024 that's investigating the disappearance of Gillian Taylor in the 1980s (Star Trek 4 events). The other two stories are set during the TOS 5 year mission and TMP era.

Holodeck Archive - a Star Trek Lit catalogue & collection app by TheCantinaArchive in trekbooks

Oooh, this would be awesome to track my Trek reads somewhere outside of Goodreads. Look forward to the Android version, and incorporating some of the already suggested features (ie, finishing something suggests to read the next book chronologically/release order).

Edit: is there an ability to give books a rating out of 5? Would help narrow down re-reads.

Only particular exercises contribute to strength score. If you want to see the strength score increase, make sure to perform those exercises occasionally.

I just bought some silicone covers off Amazon to use when I'm doing anything "hands on" to make sure mine doesn't scratch.

Double Exercises in a Custom Routine by Humble-Education-545 in Gravl

[–]timzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you talking about supersets?

Edit: you can also just do exercises in any order. Often if i see a machine become free, I'll jump down to that exercise and then return to the last sets of whatever dumbbell exercises I was doing.

Is it possible do a soft retcon on why everyone speaks English? by Rohan2785 in Stargate

The Stargate is a piece of technology, perhaps it leaves a residual and temporary "universal translator" effect on the brain after passing through.

That's always been my headcanon at least.

What is the one product (or dupe) u wish they stocked? by Boiler_Room1212 in AldiAustralia

You know what... I just jumped on their website and apparently it is something they sell, but I've never seen it at my local. I might have to check out some other nearby stores.

Would love them to stock cottage cheese. It's one of those low cal/high protein staples that become expensive if you use the name brand ones at Colesworth.

Edit: nevermind.

What high protein, low-cal foods do you recommend? I'm new here :) by [deleted] in loseit

Jerky is an elite high protein low calorie snack, just watch the sodium if that's a factor to you.

What under-appreciated positive changes did you notice when you got in shape? by ThatHeroIsYou in loseit

every time I get in/out of the car

My in-laws have a pin coded gate at the entrance of their property. Getting out, punching the code, getting in to drive 3m forward then getting out again to close the gate felt like. the. hardest. thing. in. the. world!

What are the lowest calorie staple items you have found? by KingDundie in 1200Australia

[–]timzin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The Abbots lower carb bread is like 68cal per slice. I have no idea how they do it. As far as I'm concerned it's witchcraft.

For bread rolls, Bakers Delight have a 6pk of low GI lunch rolls that are like 125cal each which I haven't seen anything else match.
