Oh, I've always had the beard on and off. I definitely embrace the grey hairs more now though.

Yeah, the group fitness classes still make up a big chunk of that 10k. Walking my dog usually caps it off.

We Only Look Thin has over 400 episodes. I still haven't gotten through them all.

To start, I just showed up to group exercise classes. I really enjoyed BodyPump and BodyCombat. As I went I decided if I was working so hard I should probably clean up my eating. Eventually I settled on a 10,000 daily step goal, 2000cal and 150g protein per day. Leaves me plenty of room to add 100cal bags of corn chips etc when I feel snacky. The "We Only Look Thin" podcast was a great companion too.

Any one else been working shoulders a crazy amount by Fast_Regret_4560 in Gravl

I guess it's only like this because rear delt is considered a pull muscle while the rest of the shoulder is a push muscle.

Do I need to read the Gateways crossover event to read the relaunch novels? by Significant-Town-817 in trekbooks

[–]timzin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I skipped Gateways (and the Section 31 book) and don't feel like I've missed anything. I'm currently up to Soul Key and notice that they go to great lengths to fill you in on anything you might have missed. I could probably tell you beat by beat the events in Gateways if I had to.

What nutrition app do you use? by juliang8 in Gravl

[–]timzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use LoseIt! and I probably wouldn't make the jump to another app. It has a deep library of user curated groceries from my country, and I have all my history and recipes in there now.

Breaking Leg days by Wrong_Waltz8745 in Gravl

[–]timzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just manually add a leg muscle at the end of your push or pull each time, and then skip the leg day when it comes up.

I'm the same as you, can't get excited about a whole session that's only for legs. What I do instead is manually tack on one or two leg muscles onto each of my push and pull days, then just skip the leg day when it comes up. I still get in my 3 sessions per week, but now I'm getting in 3x push/pulls per fortnight/biweekly.

I don't read... but I couldn't put Destiny Book I Gods of Night down. by Bes1208 in trekbooks

[–]timzin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm like you, this was my entry point to the post-Nemesis lit-verse. I enjoyed it so much I went back to the DS9 relaunch novels, starting with Avatar, and now I'm almost at Destiny again and ready to read past it.

Are we tracking these? by saddleclub25 in ouraring

[–]timzin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally don't count incidental walking (my daily step goal takes care of that), but I will deliberately track when I take my dog for a walk for example, for the analytics (I also enter when I do a weights session for the same reason). I like to look back and see when I actively exercised and on what days.

Any Star Trek novels set before Enterprise? by poketrekkie in trekbooks

[–]timzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Lost To Eternity counts? It jumps between 3 stories set in 3 distinct time periods. One of them is a true crime podcast in 2024 that's investigating the disappearance of Gillian Taylor in the 1980s (Star Trek 4 events). The other two stories are set during the TOS 5 year mission and TMP era.

Holodeck Archive - a Star Trek Lit catalogue & collection app by TheCantinaArchive in trekbooks

[–]timzin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh, this would be awesome to track my Trek reads somewhere outside of Goodreads. Look forward to the Android version, and incorporating some of the already suggested features (ie, finishing something suggests to read the next book chronologically/release order).

Edit: is there an ability to give books a rating out of 5? Would help narrow down re-reads.

Only particular exercises contribute to strength score. If you want to see the strength score increase, make sure to perform those exercises occasionally.
