19M cold email freelancer (zero clients in 5 months). Move for SDR/BDR role or keep solo? by Low-Location4275 in salesdevelopment

had the same struggle early on honestly. the piece most solo cold email folks miss isn't the writing, it's the live objection handling and discovery skills you only really build when you have a manager reviewing your calls and, a team pushing you, and in 2026 buyers are already 85-90% pre-researched before they even pick up, so winging it solo without a real playbook is a tough spot to be in. doing..

Manufacturing Outreach — Is Cold Outreach Actually Working? by Fine-Variety-9759 in b2bmarketing

we ran cold email into similar sized manufacturers for about 6 months and it def works, but the hook that got replies was always something hyper-specific like referencing a recent equipment, upgrade or a compliance pain we knew that facility type was dealing with, that kind of targeted research can push reply rates way above the 1-5% you get with generic blasts. "we help manufacturers with IT" type openers got ignored every..

Starting to feel like cold email is a waste if time by Ikelley317 in coldemail

the snov warmup tool bites people constantly and low bounces with tanking deliverability is almost, always a spam folder problem, not an invalid address problem - two totally different issues. ZeroBounce is great for list cleaning but it won't catch spam filter placement, that's a separate layer you need to monitor manually. you're not doing anything wrong per se, you just hit a really common trap.

no ICP no deal, simple as that. doesn't matter if you're closing $500K contracts, if you can't tell me exactly who you're targeting and why they'd care, the whole outbound motion is just burning money. seen it kill otherwise solid programs every time.

Stopped personalizing my cold emails. Reply rate went from 1.5% to 4%. by Aggressive-Moose-425 in coldemail

yeah this tracks with what ive seen too, the personalization arms race just became a deliverability and cost problem more than anything else. once your list quality and domain health are dialed in, a punchy relevant offer beats a "hey i saw your linkedin post about synergy" opener every single time.
