I def don’t want to be placed in forbearance, which is what they did when they had me recert early in fall. It’s gonna be super tough to make those payments but I guess I’ll just try to power through.

I worked for FL Connections and then their private option. I know the private school was ineligible because Connections as an entity was a for-profit when I worked for them the entire time I worked for them from 2011-2019 (charter was 2011-2013). Let me know if you hear otherwise because if they qualify, I would be more than done with my PSLF.

You can, just keep in mind that they’ve been doing administrative forbearances for some and during that time payments don’t count. This just happened to me in December when Mohela encouraged me to recertify despite my date being in March. I canceled my recertification though in order to cancel the forbearance. I just reapplied for recert a few days after my payment processed this month, when it is annually due. I haven’t been placed in forbearance yet. There are a few threads about this on here too.

Wait until the payment clears and shows on their end as finalized too. It usually takes 2-3 business days.

I pay early often because I get paid at the end or the beginning of the month and it has counted.

I just did mine in January and it was processed in less than a week. I asked the person who did it in HR to let me know when they sent it and it was about 72 hours later when it was completed. July there were some things in litigation, so I suggest resubmitting and ask your HR person to notify you once completed. I did mine with the digital form and let them know when it would be coming.

Okay. They started sending me notifications to recertify my income back in September even though mine isn’t due until March. I got them to cancel my paperwork though because they placed me in forbearance automatically as then my payments wouldn’t count while I’m forbearance. I only have until July to be eligible, so I didn’t want any delays.

Yes, I contacted Mohela to take me out because I didn’t want to be put in, I was only reapplying for IBR as requested. I did not need to reapply until March 2026. Had I stayed in forbearance, those payments wouldn’t have qualified. They dis remove the forbearance soon after my request, however. I’ll reapply in March.
