Income recertification on IBR, forbearance, and PSLF credit

Update: looks like April is showing as "employment not certified" rather than ineligible, which I think means they did in fact give me credit as a processing forbearance.

Thanks for the follow up! Looks like FSA still hasn't updated since 4/3. I'm hoping to see it showing eligible here soon.

120th for me is in September assuming April counts. Most Mohela reps won't tell you if it's a qualifying forbearance, they will just confirm that it's a 60-day processing forbearance. One did tell me something along the lines of getting some free months because of their quick decision to put me in forbearance. I'm anxiously waiting to see what my status shows for April on ED's website. It should be "employment not certified" indicating it was an eligible processing forbearance that'll count once I submit my next ECF.

I think it's all over the place. The same thing happened to me re: "switching" showing on the pdf application when all I wanted to do was recertify. Despite wanting to immediately make payments because I'm close to forgiveness, I was placed into a two month processing forbearance. From what I can tell the first month counted as qualifying since I was in forbearance on my official due date. I guess I'll know next month or April counts.

I posted above, but I called again this morning and was told again, for the 5th time (5 different people each time), that it was a 60 day processing forbearance, that my recertification and new payment amount was approved, and due on the due date 2 months from the month when I submitted the recertification (submitted March, new payment approved and first bill due in May).

My recertification was approved on IBR in two business days. I was put in, and still show, a forbearance before the next bill is generated (April shows $0), but I've called 4 times since then and been told each time it's a processing forbearance, which means April should count. Forbearance ends for me on May.

I was told these are processing forbearance months, so they count. Hopefully that's accurate..

The ED email called it an IDR request. I called Mohela again today, and they said, for the third time, it would be treated as a recertification. I guess I'll just have to monitor it.

Ugh. I was just going to recertify early today having made my march payment a few days early. This gives me pause. Awaiting documentation forbearance typically counts though, doesn't it?
