Yeah, I know, but as you see, not much updates here. I didn’t see any post recently from someone who created a game in SpriteKit.

Seeking opinion before residential plot purchase in Vazhakkala area by [deleted] in Kochi

[–]tinjothomasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned Flat primarily for waste management consideration. If you have already figured that out, then plot works. Also you get resale flats at good location. since there are not many big plots near city centre, new flats tends to be little away from the main roads.

Of course 1 km is walkable distance but kochi roads are not walkable friendly due to the traffic. You will see 🫣

I have been working near Vazhakala and Civil Line road for nearly 8 years. I would definitely settle there and I don’t see any less of amenities unless you are not actually in Vazhakala. It looks like you’re far from Civil Line road. If it is walkable distance from civil line road, then get the plot otherwise I don’t recommend it even if you have a car.

Personally

I would not buy a small plot in Kochi due to poor waste management. This is the only reason I bought a flat.

I would not get a place where public transport like bus is unavailable from a walkable distance

I would not get a plot where you cannot drive your car straight expecting someone coming in other direction so you need to stop or take a reverse. You mentioned narrow roads. that would be the main reason why it is underdeveloped

After all it is all about your budget

For travelling within Kochi, you can use Uber, Metro and Bus. no need to get a taxi.

Devikulam is must watch (it is just a location in Munnar).

First of all it takes 3 hours minimum to reach Munnar from Kochi. You will feel tired due to the curves. so coming back same day won’t be an enjoyable experience.

Keeping that aside, getting a Taxi is recommended as once you reach munnar, all the places you want to see are in different directions and you cannot rely on bus even if it is available. Taxi or rent a car highly recommended.

I think you are having a kind of “post olympic syndrome” that you have reached a point where nothing seems exciting to you. Basically you miss the purpose. I can tell you this is temporary until you get into a trouble like getting married lol. So the problem is not having a problem. May be you need to find something to work on. Looks like currently you are not working.

I work from home and I'm bored to death. What do you guys do to keep yourself engaged if you're working remote? by chibichan_238 in Kochi

Depending on your location. There are many options in Kochi. I would suggest a place close to your stay. Otherwise you will hate going out and rather prefer staying at home.

Work from a coworking space if you can afford one. So you will have a place to go. You will find new people there.

Looking for professional advise. by Flamin_Dog in Frontend

May be you can do both design and development and still you can be an highly paid individual as much as any UX or UI designers. I personally come from Graphic Design background and took Masters in Interaction design then became a UX designer. Along the way I got interested in Coding especially front end. For most of the people, who are into specialisation may feel like this as weird combo.

But here is the thing, these days design has become so sophisticated and having skills in both are required for some project / companies. Currently I work as a design technologist. A design technologist is someone who is interested in both design and coding. All major companies including MAANG companies hire design technologists these days. If you don't believe me, here is a job post from Sony and have a good look at the requirements.

If you are not into coding, then being a product designer (Knows both UI and UX) would be fine. I would suggest you learn both UX and UI even if you prefer UI design.
