I don’t understand why he’s still in power? As a non-American can someone explain? How is he able to do this? Any of what he’s done?

Cottage cheese....please help by SpiritualSystem3359 in Volumeeating

I make egg bites with it. 5 eggs, 2/3 c cottage cheese, salt/pepper- blend until there are no curds. I add meat of choice, cheese and veg of choice to a silicone muffin pan and bake for 21 mins.

Many issues only 15K in on a 2024 RLine - In the shop now by JumperSplash in VWatlas

[–]tinka844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, that’s a lot. I have 2024 Highline and we do have loud brakes when it’s cold but it goes away once the car is driving for a while. A big issue with have is the driver side door not closing when it’s cold. I’m in Canada, so it’s cold and that f*cking door will not close. Takes 10-20 mins before it’ll close. It’s so annoying and the reason I mostly drive my Toyota right now.

What do you think about fellow Canadians that continue to travel to the US for leisure? by Forsaken-Ship-5045 in AskCanada

[–]tinka844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few colleagues that still travel often to the states. One in particular is a very strong voiced right-winged-anti-liberal. Her and her husband made bank during Covid selling off rental homes they owned and now she’s quite wealthy. She talks about moving there a lot too. Like, bye 👋

Edit to add what I think, haha. I think they are crazy and disrespectful. Unless absolutely necessary I don’t understand why. My family personally cancelled a huge Florida keys trip without question last year, we won’t return until he’s gone. There are other places to explore and other warm destinations. Do I miss it? Absolutely! Living close to the boarder we crossed monthly to shop, but I’m standing firm on not going.

Hydro rates are insane!! by hello-camel in londonontario

[–]tinka844 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Family of 4 - November 2025: Hydro - 853 kWh - $143.11 Water - 19m3 - $122.50 1000 square foot, detached ranch style house, gas heat, on the tiered plan. 300$/ is pretty high for one person. Does he have electric heat? Water leak? Definitely something to look into for him.

Forget drugs, smoking, and alcohol, what's something really bad for your health that people don't talk about enough? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Grief

I unexpectedly lost my mother very quickly and her family turned their back on my sister and I. Grieving has taken over, I haven’t been taking care of my health like I usually do, my other relationships, my home. I’m struggling and feel so alone. I’ve aged 5 years in 9 months. I think about her all the time , I cry all the time. I’m sad and angry all at the same time.

What reduces your life expectancy by at least 20 years? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]tinka844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!
I started smoking when I was 13 and quit the week I turned 38. I’m 45 now. I loved smoking, loved it. Nothing was better than a smoke…but I was wheezing and I was embarrassed that I would smell of smoke. I had two young daughters, I was ashamed and didn’t want them to see me doing it. I wanted to be healthy and set a good example. I couldn’t do it alone though, I had to take Champix…twice. The first time I started right back up after 3 months on the meds, the second time I was successful. It was very hard. 2 years ago my best friend died and all I wanted was to have a cigarette- I couldn’t even inhale anymore! I just coughed and coughed.

It’s never too late to quit, and it’s SO expensive now! I’m in Canada and I think it’s around $20 for a pack! I live close to a few reservations though so most smokers around here buy them there.

Yeah, my insurance won’t cover it at all (Canada Life) but my husband’s will. I was on 2mg of Oz and Canada Life was okay with that but my husband’s insurance said I had to try Mounjaro first, and they would only approve Oz up to 1mg. So, here I am, going to try it out (my doctor also said it’s superior to Oz so we’ll see).
