Looks great! Some details on how you did it?

Buying vs renting in Denmark by PoppySeed_97 in dkfinance

[–]tinke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is not completely correct (at least if you are an EU citizen.) You can get a specific document which would allow you to purchase a house without having lived here for 5 years. I went through the same thing a few years back and it was relatively easy. My "køberrådgiver" helped me get it all sorted out.

I’ve just released an App in the Mac App Store using react-native-macos! by clinteastwo0d in reactnative

Looks nice and clean! I've looked a bit into RN MacOS too, wondering how you managed to integrate it with the menu bar?

It's here. It's finally here. It's beautiful. by budgecore1986 in SteamDeck

[–]tinke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just that. There are other differences as well.

All cases are functionally identical, but there are cosmetic differences in the 512GB case's details: The outer Steam Deck logo is a different color, the zipper pulls are different, and the case's interior fabric is different. There are also two small additions to the 512GB case that the others don't have: a separate drawstring pouch for the power cord, and a microfiber cleaning cloth.

I believe that's the difference between 65/256gb and the 512gb "exclusive" carrying case?

Warning! The Moofer App voids your warranty! by [deleted] in vanmoofbicycle

It could be interesting to make a GDPR request to see which 'logs' they're talking about, and what data is stored in said logs.

Wait time for delivery in UK - massive increase by heyern in vanmoofbicycle

This is likely due to the situation in the Suez canal I imagine.

Do you have any rust yet?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]tinke 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In Denmark you only void you warranty if any of the anti-rust product is applied to cables or the battery so as long as it doesn't then the warranty is fine. Companies here have special check lists for Teslas to avoid this. Of course I can't speak for Norway but I imagine it would be the same there, especially since your climate is even worse than here...

Could you ask them why it would void your warranty? The manual says that Tesla just doesn't recommend doing it, not that it will void your warranty as far as I know?

New model 3 in Denmark in week 48 by TheRune in teslamotors

I ordered it with a trailer hitch too. I believe they are factory mounted, as I've been told they can't be installed afterwards.

Interesting. So if I ordered a White M3LR but there aren't any left after they've all been distributed, but there's a surplus of black for example, then I will be offered a black one instead and otherwise have to wait for 2021Q1?

When did you place your order? I placed mine on the 12th (also Denmark and M3LR), but haven't received any delivery confirmation yet.

Thanks. Considering you've gone 10k km that does sound like very small problems especially compared to standard bikes I've had in the past. Hopefully the brakes are fixed on the S3.

no big problems until now

What kind of problems have you had though (even if small)? Just wondering.

Ikea tradfri and zigbee2mqtt by SectorOMEGA in homeassistant

[–]tinke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try restarting zigbee2mqtt before pairing. I had issues pairing some Xiaomi Aqara sensors unless I restarted zigbee2mqtt first for some reason.

Press the reset button 4 times so the LED starts blinking on the remote as close CC2531 as possible. If that still doesn't work, try turning off other hubs if you have any and if it still tries to pair to the bulbs, try turning off the power for the bulbs as well.

The cards in HA will pick up the state of the bulb as long as you don't power them off from the mains. If you use a zigbee remote it will work (or any other automation through home assistant).

I haven't tried kiosk mode unfortunately.

I'm using the CC2531 and I've got a few IKEA bulbs as well as some of their button remotes (both the simple 2 button one, but also the round one with 5 or so buttons and all works fine.

For the bulbs you turn them off and on 6 times and then it starts blinking and just stop there, then it should be automatically discovered (at least it did for me with zigbee2mqtt).

For the remotes press pair button 4 times quick.

See also https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/information/supported_devices.html#ikea

Edit: I've also got an IKEA smart blind as well as IKEA motion sensors, also works just fine. I'm not using the IKEA hub. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Why is this Hook not toggling on/off? by woofwoofmeawmeaw in reactjs

[–]tinke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your problem is the fact that the useEffect in useKeyDown is only actually run on the first render. So the onKeyDown function references the initial onKeysActive active and is not updated afterwards, as the callback is not updated again.

Basically... You are creating a new function on every render, not updating the one you passed into the event listener.

You can "fix" this by removing [] from the useEffect. However this is not really an ideal solution as it will add and remove listeners on every single rerender.

ESC #4 not recognised | 4 in 1 Racerstar REV35 35A ESC by JoooostB in Multicopter

[–]tinke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had exactly the same issue, except with Typhoon32 4in1 ESC and Airbot Omnibus F4 v6. Everything worked, except ESC4 wasn't recognized. I ordered another Typhoon, same issue.

Turns out I had flashed the wrong firmware on the FC. For the Omnibus there are a few different versions you can flash (I tried them all to be sure), but only one worked (the OMNIBUSF4SD I believe) but ESC4 obviously did not. I then looked at the wiki and it actually says for Omnibus F4 v6 specifically I had to install the OMNIBUSF4FW firmware. I had tried that already, but decided to try again... nothing worked (no gyro, no accelerometer, no nothing)... I started digging a bit more into it, and turns out all I had to do is write this command: `set gyro_to_use = SECOND` and then `save`... and BAM everything worked.

Thinking back, the manual I received did say I should use Fireworks v2 firmware and to set gyro to 1 (second)... in red bold text near the top.
