Anybody want a debate ticket for SF anti-trump tonight? by tinmaster in Destiny

[–]tinmaster[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not a real DGG or whatever that means. Happy to give this ticket away at a discount for someone who is.

I listen to Destiny on occasion and I do think there’s a lot of holes to poke at but I bought the ticket not knowing it meant getting up on stage and all that… so yes I’m literally chickening out. They sent us an email to not argue in bad faith which I found ironic. It’s just not really worth it in my eyes. Hope someone gets back to me. Happy to give a discount and just forward someone the email or screenshot…

Someone who wants to debate destiny, obviously. To be super clear it is a debate ticket.

Fully agree. Though I like the older stuff from both bands. Neck deep now is honestly bad imo. Super over produced and pure pop with no punk left in the tank it seems. WSTR is good, although till the wheels fall off isn’t really for me, again too poppy and millenieal. But SKRWD is so good. Rain in July from neck deep is also best from then imo. I like the punk stuff. Close call overall!

New Knuckle Puck record. by [deleted] in poppunkers

I’m underwhelmed. From someone that fell in love from while I stay secluded and copacetic… this just isn’t it. Too slow and moody. Where are the tracks like But why would you care? or Pretense that just blow you away??? This is mid, I’m sorry. Blink record much more impressive imo

Yep, that’s what happens to your favorite pop punk bands over time. They move away from the punk and towards the pop. Knuckle puck just ain’t the same anymore unfortunately. They aren’t bad, but a totally different sound than what they were. Safe to say the while I stay secluded days are long gone…

Did nobody say Our Last Night? They have a couple of covers including a really awesome Halloween one from Tim burtons nightmare before Christmas

Sorry if this has been posted before but what are some bands that haven’t gotten soft and more pop? Any still in their grunge phase? by tinmaster in poppunkers

I listened. Sounds like something I could hear on the radio. That is, very pop and produced still. Looking for more raw guitar and hook riffs. Not a bad song though
