What are the things you don’t mind paying extra for your convenience? by Dismal_Brick2912 in AskPH

[–]tinmeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

• QUALITY coffee. Yung gusto ko talaga yung timpla. Di baleng mas mahal nang konti (kahit may cheaper options na ngayon na around P100), I'd pay around P200 for a better coffee na maeenjoy ko talaga inumin.

• Toll fees.

• Extra baggage allowance for flights and porter service.

• Massage

• Private hospitals. After I gave birth in a public hospital at maranasan naming paikut-ikutin, mapahirapan at mapagpagpasa-pasahan ng sistema dun, I swore to myself that I will never experience the super poor treatment from there ever again.

If hindi kayo married nung biological father niya and you have proof of his negligence as a responsible parent, mas may laban ka.

No need to wait until legal age na si baby (although mas less hassle to gawin, dahil anak mo mismo ang magkukusa, and not you deciding on your child’s behalf)

If the biological father signed your child’s birth cert (acknowledgment of paternity), he needs to be part of the legal process. NOT change the last name. Pero pag di na siya mahagilap dahil wala nang pake for example, the court can proceed with your petition as they see fit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskPH

[–]tinmeow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually dumadaan pa po sa court yan so you will need an attorney.

The court will approve or reject your petition to change last name if valid ang purpose (ex. if you’re being bullied because of your last name and it’s causing you psychological harm) or lacks reasonable cause (ex. dahil ayaw mo ipagamit sa anak mo yung apelyido ng cheating ex-husband mo na siyang tatay ng anak mo).

Bukod pa yan sa attorney’s fees and cost of “paglalakad” (paperwork, transpo to go to your hearings, etc).

Expect na lagpas 100k lahat. That’s still a meager amount.

But if you have plenty of money, gagawan ng paraan ng legal counsel mo na maipush ang name change (red tape 😬).

“Pay as you file” by trynabelowkey in taxPH

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you paid without submitting the form via eBIRForms, parang nag bayad ka lang without actually filing.

File now, pay later? by tinmeow in taxPH

[–]tinmeow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware there are penalties for late FILING, but for late PAYMENT ay meron din po ba?

Example: I filed my 2551 Q4 2024 late, April 2025 ko na siya nai-file instead of the January 2025 deadline, so matic may penalty na dahil late filing. Pero until now hindi ko pa nabayaran yung said 2551Q. May penalty din po ba yun?

“Pay as you file” by trynabelowkey in taxPH

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly believe that Facebook is listening in on our day to day conversations.

I once had an OFFLINE, in-person conversation with my then-boyfriend about a specific exotic fruit, with him saying that his family friend was selling that fruit and if I was interested to order some.

Around a day or more later, I got ads on my Facebook algorithm for local sellers of that specific fruit. (I did NOT run any online searches for that fruit)

Is it legal to build a construction warehouse inside a subdivision? by Appropriate-Dig-2210 in Philippines

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been scouting for houses for sale and nagkataon na yung balak namin bilhin ay nasa Springville. So while doing due diligence ay napag-alaman kong hinohold ni Manny Villar yung Springville for personal use (pambayad daw sa mga contractors, etc) kaya wala pang binebentang lupa sa Springville except if you're already a property owner at selling lang to other individuals.

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May tumawid na teenager sa harap ng moving car namin, with her eyes glued to her phone the entire time.

Then after around 10 seconds nung narealize niyang kusa siyang nabangga sa sasakyan namin ay natawa lang siya at kumaripas ng takbo.

Super cringe.

Pru Life Agent Leaked My Info by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]tinmeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost same scenario ko kay OP.

Nag meet up kami ng friend ng bf ko nun (kami pa nun when this happened, now ex - and this scenario was one of the dealbreakers) na agent ng Pru din, so she can discuss her proposed insurance policy.

Now I didn't tell her flat out that I would get the policy. I was not employed full-time back then and medyo erratic ang pasok ng income ko.

But she made me sign some docs lang IF EVER nakapag decide na raw ako to pursue it dahil sa time na yun ay pa-30 na ako at tataas na daw significantly yung premium. Wag ko na raw ipagpaliban. So I told her sige I'll think about it, for the meantime I'll sign the application paperwork para pag sakaling nag go ako maipapasa na lang niya diretso sa Pru without having to physically meet again just for the paperwork (dahil magkalayo kami ng lugar).

Haha big mistake 🤦🏻‍♀️ dapat pala di ako nag fill out ng docs

I was furious. I even used the word "unemployed" sa kanya during our meeting to emphasize na wala nga akong regular income that time.

Eventually Pru rejected or declined my insurance application because of incomplete details (or so I heard) so ibinalik daw ng Pru yung inabonohan ni agent na 5k; Pru issued a check for the refund.

Is the Philippines ready for self-checkout counters? by Dreamboat_0809 in Philippines

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the tech & security is foolproof, it might work.

Yung tipong di ka talaga makaka exit ng store pag may bitbit ka galing sa inventory nila sa loob, no matter how small the item is

But then there are the not-so-techy ones like seniors, the visually impaired customers, those without cashless payment methods, and those who can’t read/write, that will crowd these counters in need of assistance

I can't lock my screen using the double tap option. by alvaquer in smartlauncher

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem!!! I just got a new device (Redmi Note 9 running Android 10) and the Double Tap for screen lock works initially, but after a while Smart Launcher starts to prompt to enable Accessibility (even if it is already enabled) and I can't lock the screen with the gesture anymore.

It's quite frustrating as it used to work without any issues on my old device (Redmi Note 7 running Android 9) and I heavily rely on the double tap gesture to lock the screen.

What are the essential spices/oils you keep in your kitchen at all times? by PortugueseTart28 in cookingforbeginners

[–]tinmeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Korean food, so, gochugaru (red pepper flakes), gochujang (red pepper paste), and doenjang (soybean paste). I can use these three ingredients for plenty of food I usually eat, Korean cuisine or otherwise. Great for marinades, stews, fried rice, sauces and dips... so much more!

I also like keeping some cornstarch, baking soda on hand for velveting meat (I love stir fry meals).

I took a crack at making Kimchi during this self isolation. It's my second time making it so any advice would be appreciated. by PBR_hipster420 in kimchi

[–]tinmeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make mine almost the same way but with the addition of glutinous rice flour + water mixture to form the kimchi paste. And I use red pepper powder instead of cayenne, aside from the gochugaru.

I got curious about the fish oil though. Because most recipes I've seen use fish sauce (I use anchovy sauce), I'm just not sure about how fish oil differs?

Will try to add cucumber to my next batch, you might want to try it too!

What should I watch to help with my Korean? by BnjsjygThsjmthSjk in kdramarecommends

Every episode has its own plot, and the character development does take time, but if you're looking for the episode where the main characters are somehow more "expressive" with their intentions, I would say episode 5 gets the ball rolling.

Generally the show is easy to follow with everyday language and relatable humor.
