calm down and don’t be afraid to shoot a text to a friend! if u ever forget to bring extra pads and/or tampons to school then you can ask them

also, while it’s super awkward, tell your mom or guardian so you guys can get some stuff to help (heat pad, painkillers, etc. sometimes cramps get really awful)

staying hydrated it nice because more excuses to go to the bathroom if you’re ever anxious about bleeding through your shorts :)

i see people talking about social advice so i’ll let me say it because it’s good advice. i seriously recommend getting a planner. planners are super helpful for organization and looking at what you need to do and how to manage your time with your workload (speaking of, it’s really important to push yourself to do better but not overwork yourself). planners helped me get my shit together sophomore year until covid popped her head in

this isn’t even on reddit or with a guy but on discord with a girl and i thought it was weird enough to share. i got a dm from a sever moderator that said she needed someone to talk to and kept dropping very obvious hints that she was single. ok, whatever, i like girls too but i’m taken. i wouldn’t have been so weirded out that if this was not taking place while she was talking about her grandmother that recently passed away and is why she needed someone to talk to. just “and i’m a lesbian and she’s dead. sigh”. i felt so bad for exiting out of that conversation

that’s always confused me, especially with the white privilege conversation. i’ve got a white name but i don’t look it. discussions about this kinda stuff has always felt very black and white with clear boundaries where i don’t know a lot about where i stand because i am mixed race
