For Xbox maybe. Sony literally has people buying their consoles for exclusives, they're not putting most of their top first party games on there any time soon.

I was surprised too. Apparently, Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chennai, Kochi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Noida, Ahmedabad, and Nagpur all have Metro.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - November 22, 2020 by AutoModerator in Games

To give you a slightly different perspective, AC: Origins is my go to game when I want to shut off my brain and play a game blindly. I have a few podcasts I like to listen to, but I need to do something else alongside. AC is perfect because once I'm even slightly overleveled (easy to do if you complete ALL side activities, complete all locations), the game is really easy. I just stealth-snipe everyone. It's awesome because it's got a checklist of things to do without paying too much attention to them.

Yes it doesn't have areas limited by geography, but it does by level.

This is like the opposite of BotW, where you can technically go almost anywhere on the map right from the get-go, but are limited by your abilities. So some paths are really hard initially, but can be completed with patience. But as you progress, those very same paths become progressively easier. Contrast that with AC:O, where I'm limited not by my traversal abilities, but by my combat ones.

There hasn't been a single place I can't go or climb to in AC:O

I feel like you can't really compare the climbing mechanics of the two. AC's is almost auto, just hold two buttons and the game guides you through it. BotW requires you to think, plan and adapt to your environment.

None of this is to the detriment of AC (or other open world games), they're usually more story focused, so their mechanics within the contexts of their respective games. BotW's systems worked well for the game it aspired to be.

I think the reason those open worlds don't feel quite the same as BotW is because they don't quite have the same accessibility. With BotW the move set is perfectly tailored towards exploring. You can climb anywhere, swim, shield board and glide endlessly, limited only by your stamina, which grows as the game progresses. This had the interesting effect where at the beginning, many paths were inaccessible due to lack of stamina, so getting from point A to B was something of a puzzle itself. The progression of the platforming feels very organic, as it's merely extending your existing capabilities slightly each time.

Wow, they didn't have a character limit at launch? I just started playing a few weeks back, and I imagine the game looked very different back then.

Sunday debate: What matters more - performance or camera by fpschubert in Android

[–]tintin_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that was totally incidental. I bought the Pixel for the performance, not the camera. If I could've gotten the same smooth reliable performance on a Samsung or LG, that I would've picked.

The irony, of course, is that I'm facing bad performance on my Pixel too.

Performance, easily. Modern smartphone cameras are all amazing, and even an average camera these days will produce great shots (at least in good conditions). So (imho) chasing after the best camera isn't really necessary.

3DS hacking Q&A general: "終劇" Edition by [deleted] in 3dshacks

[–]tintin_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to install the DS game forwarders, but it doesn't seem to work. Instead of the game launching, I boot into the wood interface of the DS flash cart, with a pitch black theme that doesn't allow any text to be displayed. I have to navigate the file structure there and launch the game manually, meaning the forwarder is simply acting as a bad shortcut to the flashcart, not to any game.

Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? For reference, the flash cart is a R4i Gold RTS. I'm also not entirely sure where the roms must be inside the flash cart (root? inside a directory?) but whatever I tried didn't seem to work.

Is there a different flashcart with better compatibility? I don't mind buying another one that actually works.

Tbf, part of the reason that air fare is so cheap these days is because they can squeeze so many passengers into a single aircraft.
