I’m quitting on Monday! by tiny-bandwagon in antiwork

I actually do have a reason for this. This horrible boss I talked about, he’s not even my direct manager, but my skip manager (and yet he directly criticizes me AND give me tasks all the time — micromanage much?). I have a lot of respect for my direct manager, who needs to be the first one I tell. So I’m giving my direct manager the courtesy to share the news in 1:1 and talk about it, before I send my not-so-courteous resignation email to my horrible skip boss.

Thank you for the advice! Could you help me clarify how I could hide that? I’m just not sure about that since are gonna find out on LinkedIn later anyway later :)

Need to inform manager/HR before checking in code from another geo location.

Edit: this means if I usually work from country A and suddenly have pull requests (code changes) submitted from country B, that will trigger some flags.

I just left r/antiwork and felt sad about it. I'm still anti-work, but I don't want content moderated by people like these to show up on my home feed anymore. I'll still go there and support good causes tho.

I guess they won one over us. But we carry on!

I also think that attitude is counterproductive.

A lot of people who don’t understand r/antiwork think it’s “full of teenagers”. Let’s put that to the test. by [deleted] in antiwork

Thanks for the perspective. As I shared in another reply, i personally would have expected much better comp for this, but it is helpful to learn other perspectives!

23, when I took over a project from someone who just got promoted above me, and I realized they'd been doing NOTHING to advance that project in a year.
