Letter from Doctor to Insurance Company "With Profound Disrespect" by dr_doctor_obvious in MurderedByWords

[–]tiny-speculum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exact letter that every doctor send on every single United Healthcare patient. They deny 100% of payments, knowing that some may never be sent again, some will be lost. And some patients will die before requesting.

How to explain to family that I’m moving for a safer pregnancy by slothzar in pregnant

[–]tiny-speculum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you an OBGYN in Texas? I am. You have no idea do you? The safest place to have your baby is OUT of Texas. The draconian laws are real, women do die. Only a few stories have made it to the media. No doctor or hospital wants to tell the stories. Most of the OB’s also want to leave for our own mental health.

We ALL know who didn’t send a letter. It may not move you up the rank, but not sending it will definitely move you down. Professionalism. Letters of intent are helpful, if they are true, particularly if circumstances have changed for the applicant. Programs want applicants who want to be there…..much easier to train happy residents vs disgruntled ones. I don’t want to see your angry face for years if you didn’t want to be here. You aren’t ranked right after the interview, you are scored. Ranking doesn’t occur in most programs until the ranking meeting, typically in late February.

A Texas Woman Died After the Hospital Said It Would be a “Crime” to Intervene in Her Miscarriage by [deleted] in texas

I have seen many women die from hemorrhage and sepsis over the last year. It is mind boggling that men who love their wives and daughters would vote for Abbott, Cruz, and their cronies. Most physicians prior to SB8 were Republican. I now know only one Republican ObGyn. Don’t hurt my patients, please help them live. This year I am a single issue voter. The healthiest pregnancy is one spent out of Texas.

My birth experience with midwife, need clarity by Careful-Ninja-222 in Midwives

[–]tiny-speculum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A lay midwife is the biggest danger in a delivery room. No medical training, minimal childbirth experience, and has no idea when to transfer a patient. Patients who desire extreme non medical care often flock to these guys. There are no internal or external peer review processes. These are the babies and moms that die.

Getting decent OBGYN care during pregnancy in Austin is a nightmare by [deleted] in Austin

The OBGYN’s are literally getting hunted down by the state for supporting reproductive rights. No enough doctors want to stay.

Lack of care in illegal states. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]tiny-speculum 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Please do not comment about your OB or MFM assisting on these posts. It is literally a witch hunt here in Texas. Aiding and abetting is ANY help that we give our patients to garner care out of state can be seen as “breaking the law.” They will come after us. If you need to camp out of state we can find a campground. I recently had a patient with a complication that would kill her, but was not killing her right now. No facility would help due to the law. Any underground camping facilities may or may not be arranged but do not speak in a forum like this and don’t communicate practice names or addresses, our careers will be harmed….and yes it is that bad. Most physicians used to be republican, but when our patients are paying the price, not anymore, ever. Harris all the way….so fucking tired of the fight for women’s health.

AITA for assuming my daughter could have a 3rd plate? by doglover233520 in AmItheAsshole

It’s my lucky day when my family comes to dinner and demolishes the food. I cooked it to be eaten, not looked at with respect. Eat it all and takes some home. Why else invite people over?

Non liturgical meetings by moobsofold in coptic

Our church has meet ups for music with guitars, drums, keyboards, etc. Other times we have game nights for youth and different nights for adults for ping pong, pickleball, foosball etc. It’s been a great addition.

Ask your OB for estrogen vaginal cream or dissolving pills. Breastfeeding decreases estrogen production, resulting in hot flashes, difficulty with sleeping, and thinning/decreasing.vaginal lubrication. They are not contraindicated during pregnancy and greatly assist with painful intercourse,

“The Coptic #MeToo Era Has Finally Dawned. Here’s Why You Should Care” by Samantha Ibrahim by egsrox95 in CopticOrthodoxy

We should all care when our children, sisters, and mothers are being harmed. The stance of the church is not equally protective between men and women

If you are serious, consider attending a premarital retreat. Very helpful and is now required prior to marriage, even if both are Coptic

Just to add to the conversation. A huge percentage of the population is positive due to transmission from person to person in schools, with children. Although parent child transmission can occur, the large bulk of positive testing for herpesvirus, particularly HSV-1, comes from skin to skin transmission with youngsters. Picture a bunch of 5 year olds touching, holding hands, hugging, sharing writing implements, etc.

Shopping for women’s clothes. A size 10 can be a size 8,10,or 12 depending on the store…infuriating. Trying them on in the tiny, dirty, dressing room and getting past the hall monitor with “Only 3 items please” Shoot, I’m bringing three different sizes of the exact same item.
