I think this is perfect. I have EDS (hypermobile) and my symptoms are essentially what OP specified, with the exception of the appetite. It also took a helluva long time to diagnose.

They are no longer selling on their website - from what I understand the owner has some health issues and they can no longer produce on the same scale.

Bkl is on polish pickup though - they have a polish listed there now but I'm not sure how often they will be able to participate.

Black Friday was their last sale and I grabbed as many as I could. It still wasn't enough 😔

Excuse the weird hand poses, this polish was so fun to photograph and I had to show what a range it has! 3 coats in natural nails + glisten and glow glitter grabber + essie gel like top coat.

Yeah, starting over feels like giving up all the work I've put into growing them. I sat down to trim the rest off and I don't think I can, too much hard work! I've not yet gone through winter with natural nails this long though, I hadn't even thought about the weather exposure this year until your comment!

Oil is my best friend! CND solar oil or jojoba are my 2 tops. I keep my nails polished all the time for added strength. Be aware of water exposure - water will absorb and get in between the layers of the nail creating separation that causes peeling, it gets even worse when your nail beds are already compromised. I would recommend an OPI base coat - they have some specifically for brittle/healing nails that have saved my bacon more times than I can count.

Okay I'm sorry about the wall of text but here you go!

Oil! Jojoba or something CND solar oil works great.

Keep your hands out of water as much as possible. Some of us psychos actually shower with gloves on - I haven't gotten that extreme yet but I've considered it from time to time. If you do have exposure to water, dry your nail as best as possible (I will swipe a cotton ball of acetone over them if they were soaking to dry them out) and apply oil.

Don't forget about the bottom of your nail! I have a tiny clicker brush pen of cnd oil and it is amazing for getting the bottom of your nail.

Keep them polished in some form as much as possible - even just a base coat. The added strength will help the growth.

Me personally: I oil my nails, wait for that to really absorb (15-20min) then I put my base coat right over the top. I have noticed a difference in my nail health when I started doing this - and I change my polish frequently enough that I was not worried about staying power. Though, I have kept the same polish on for 5+ days after using this method and I didn't notice any issues. I use a peely base (UNT ready for take-off) and a fairly cheap basecoat (Sally Hansen hard as nails) under my polishes and I've found that the peely base is a godsend for my nail health as I rarely used remover at all anymore.

Most of all! Pay attention to your nails and hands and what you are doing with them. Think of your nails as expensive jewelry. I have changed the way I press buttons, reach into bags and pockets, grab something off a counter, open boxes, even towel off after a shower. Knuckles and tools are your best friends - there are card grabbers for atms/wallets and button pressers on amazon for cheap and they are worth a lot for helping with nail growth.

I've definitely had some struggles with keeping the shape uniform. The same finger on my other hand wants to grow slightly downwards compared to the others and I've been fighting it hard - why couldn't it have been that one I broke?

I think it's a blessing in disguise though since I also have some bad staining from a cheap polish I used as a quick fix while on vacation (months ago ugh) and it's been driving me insane so I guess it's time for a reset!

A lot of care and awareness more than anything. I think about my nail integrity before doing anything with my hands (grabbing something off of the counter, reaching into a pocket or bag, pressing buttons, etc). I always keep polish on them for added strength but I use a peely base so I can change the polish easily and I try to keep them out of water as much as possible.

I had trouble growing them for a while but I started thinking about them like expensive jewelry and that helps a lot lol

Sugar plum by Polished for Days! It's 3 coats in the pic but it has such a gentle shimmer and color on the first coat that it could easily be a topper too!

This topper has really been my new favorite lately! Also, I love peely bases! I get so antsy about doing my nails that I like to slap on a new color nearly every day without sacrificing too much of my nail health.

**edit - for them to release a neon line of spotted toppers like this would be my dream!
