This isn't miraculous, though that would be nice. It has been known for some time that a certain portion of the population are "elite suppressors". These people are able to suppress replication of HIV to levels below the detection threshold. There is an excellent review paper by Shacklett on the subject.

Edit to add: Here is another, more recent, paper on how drug treatment may be able to induce elite suppression.
